It looks kind of bulky to me.Bbluewater stuff ought to be simple and effective. A regular bungy breakaway will do the trick. Nice picture tho

Exactly. I have no pics yet, but I have seen a very good tutorial of a very simple b.a. set up in a website that rhymes with Tako, hahhaha

That actually looks like it would work well. The Doubled back bungee would allow for the pull of the float not to tug on the Shooting line. I've seen a similar RA Breakaway set up using a smaller Eye screw and a single Larger Rubber. You'd need to make sure the Barrel was Solid at the point of Drilling?

Don't need to drill, the eyebolt seems to replace the bolt that attaches the handle to the barrel.
