Should we contact the resident asswipe itchyologist on Spearboard?..............naaaaaahhhhh!

There was nothing else in the cooler other than fish. This fish measured 22.375" OA.
Seaweed, good try but the pectorals, anal and tail fins are pointed.
-
I don't know what kind of grouper it is. Taking this at face value I see something that looks like numbers and letters but I question why you wouldn't take a closer photo of this "tattoo". Lets see where this is going
Like I said, it rapidly changed hue...here's a closer pic...numbers (?) gone!

Rolo, believe it or not that's exactly what a local fishermen answered upon me asking!!!!!
I was going to call him a smart ass but I figured that would have been my answer had he been the one asking me.

It's just under the beginning of the dorsal fins.

I read N4 0058-T...I tried to take a close-up but the fish had already changed to a darker hue.:confused1:

Now for the really weird part... I speared this grouper at the entrance of a deep cave and although it behaved like a red grouper (it just stared at me while finning its pectorals), I looked at it continuously while on the stringer throughout my dive being that I quite couldn't figure out what kind of grouper I had. It looks like a small warsaw but I know for sure that's not the case since warsaws don't migrate to this part of town (South P.R.).
But wait! The weirdest part is yet to come! If you look closely at the picture, you'll notice some type of lettering/numbering tatooed on this fish...I swear on my daughters this not Photoshopped! Tell me what kind of grouper this is and you be the judge on the tatoo.

Oops..pic below.

Over the rocks and bliss! Next time I'll take a pic at a later time so you can really appreciate the clarity of the water at this spot. We dove close to the Channel Marker you see at the distance...depth...2ft straight down to 35ft!..Sandy bottom and lots of fish! At one time I looked back to see where Xavier was at and he was knee deep draining the weasel and I was in 35 ft. only 15ft. apart!
-
It started to get a little weird right away...a hairy land crab!
-
Ok, I promised you guys the pictures of my secret spot. What I didn't expect was the REALLY strange fish I speared!
In the water by 7:00 a.m. with my friend Xavier...yes, some of us P.Ricans actually get up early!:D
Here's a pic of the dirt road leading to the spot.

So did you see "El Cansadito"?
-
That reminds me of a movie I saw here not too long ago...El Cansadito by Joselito Bichomongo.

Trust me...you DO NOT want to go La Perla!
The Cops don't even go there!

Everyone is more than welcome! That would be great! Rum is super cheap, although I only drink Cervezuskys. Only down side...no night life!
Rolo, that would be great being that I have to go to Florida on the 19th for the closing of the house. It finally sold!

I found the secret spot through Google Earth. I'll be there again tomorrow with a friend so I'll take pictures this time around.
