Yeah, I did all the woodwork there. Damned place looked like it was about to cave in when I moved here but what can you expect for $200.00 a month? Although I don't pay rent anymore. I date the landlord's daughter.:;

They'll last you three outings. I had the same pair and the tips of the fingers wore out in no time.

Pulpo (octopus) salad tonight!
Beautiful new site. 100ft. vis., huge coral formations and only 20 ft. at the deepest point. Lots of schoolmasters, small YJ's, octopii and yes...Mr. Stinkys too! 4 mile dirt road from the main Road, climb over some rocks...admire the view...then down..and voila!...solo dive...no pics of the spot...next time!

Is that Diver C as in..."C"-sucker?:0:D
-
Diver A shot the fish being scaled but upon retrieval, the YJ at the bottom of the picture swallowed it and SH49 took the shot dislodging the diminutive prey from the shaft. SH49 succesfully retrieved the YJ along with the questionable (mutton?) incognito fish. Who does the baitfish:D belong to?

If you think cudas smell bad...get yourself one of those alligator gars!....whewwwww!:grogan3:

If Diver A, upon the next outing, se tira un peo y se caga los Speedos after eating your homemade Guacamole, while spearing a 32lb Cubera and waves you over to retrieve them, will you even attempt the damned feat?
This reminds me of the time Rolo waved me over quite wide-eyed and when I got there he pointed out a foot long turd he had just released and seemed awful proud of....never thought I'd bring this up did you?:laughing3:

Beautiful fish! The anchor is over 16" OA so it's legal size and he's within the bag limit of one per person.
Who's boat is that? I don't recognize that Johnson outboard.

BTW, water temp is a constant 80 degrees.

The good reef hunting grounds are outside the barrier islands around the Salinas area (South side of P.R.) and we always encounter big sells in the 5-6ft range. There's dropoffs/ledges of 19' to 55ft. and huge coral formations all around. The vis is day to day with an average of 30-50ft. We encounter hog snappers, schoolmasters, mangos, ceros, kingfish but the predominant specie here are muttons...huge muttons! The bigger ones have eluded me but I'm getting better.:cool2:

Dude! Those are incredible pictures. I see why so many Cubans live in P.R. It looks a lot like here or visa versa. Here's a picture of Cabo Rojo, P.R.

I had two bands at one time but I noticed the recoil was excessive with two and I had enough power/range with just one.

BTW, thanks for the backhanded compliment!:D

I had the privilege to spearfish Guantanamo Bay 2 years ago while my brother was stationed there as a Lt. Commander and we hit the popular spots such as Glass Beach, The Slot, Cable Beach and Philips Park. I know for a fact that I have never experienced more breathtaking dropoffs with such crystal clear water only a stone's throw from shore. Although the fish were extremely skittish, I managed to see the biggest Cubera Snapper in my life. It was well over the 50lb. mark. We shot some nice ceros and schoolmasters and a nice black grouper that did a number on my shaft before tearing lose.
My brother is no longer stationed there but hopefully someday I'll get the chance to return and get that elusive Cubera.;)

What's wrong with Rolo? This is usually when he jumps into the posts.

I'd like to shaft that pig!

This is the only picture I have of the bottom of that particular gun.
