anyone familiar with JBL guns?
i can't afford a Riffe and don't have the proper tools to build one...
JBL seems affordable. is it a good brand? and can't decide on a Woody or an Elite 55inch

I am from Martinique (French West Indies) but have been living in St. Lucia for 2 years now.
I love spearfishing. unfortunately, no boat, so limited to in reef-shore diving.
This year I want to build my first gun.

however it shows all the different technical elements but I still don't know the advantages of one way vs. anoter, example open muzzle vs. ferrules or enclosed track vs. open
is there one better than the other or is it just about personal tastes?

I am looking at a 50"gun.

can anyone advise me on what's best:
-open nozzle or muzzle ferrules
-enclosed track or not
-regular or reversed mech
-line release slot or not
