I was down at ponto last night and tamarack this morning with the kids. I don't know about visibility but anything south of the power plant temp wise is roughly 65 degrees or better. might be worth checking out if your in the area. and feel like scouting around. I know if you enter at the power plant and swim south there is some kelp. also rumors of a Whitey. juice may not be worth the squeeze but if anyone hits it up let me know how it was.

im a pretty accomplished rifle and pistol competition shooter and it seems if your using a pole if you have your arm extended fully shooting the the spear should be just like pointing your finger but i may be wrong

Hey thanks guys for all the feedback. I am very interested in diving north county but have heard it is a visibility nightmare. But I'm still trying to piece together all my gear. Should take me another week or two. I look forward to picking all of your guys brains.
