Will it fit on someone with wide face such as me. I am looking forward replace my used scuba mask. This mask I am using does leak bit. And also I have big nose.

as mentioned above ,that grip will make it harder to use than a traditional sling , if you want to use a pistol grip you have to add a arm brace like this .
phil
Look very nice. Interesting look same way as slingshot. That I have do try by adding brace.

You guy are right about pistol grip. Am not a pistol grip guy but some local guy love pistol grip. Go figure. I still plan making in pistol grip and non pistol grip.

I have a guy want me make sling something like as sub sea islander sling. It just a basic enclosed track sling like speargun has. Does anybody have use it or does it work well as shooting speargun.

I have seen those in snapper in their mouth.

Check where it's crimped to the sharkfin on the shaft. I've had it break there a couple times.
Crimp Look ok. but the loop to sharkfin has some bent. That only part moving a lot after shooting or pulling shaft out of sand.

By tangle I assume you mean kinks or bends in the line. I like to keep the mono kink free so I replace it whenever there's a kink. Mono is cheap so this is not a problem. But also it doesn't absolutely have to be replaced because of kinks. Mono should be replaced when it's cut or no longer smooth due to contact with abrasive surfaces.
Yeah it is kinks in line. It doesn't affect shooting my speargun. Will left it alone for more 2 or 3 month before replace. And also am using 400 lbs mono. Am targeting small fish mostly time.
Thank! Dan

How i know does or when shooting line (mono) need replace with new line.
I have been using this same line on my speargun for last 5 month. Now this line is getting tangle. I untangle line every time after a few or more shooting.
Does this line need replace or wait. -
If it does, all is well. Like others have said, the line release is holding the un-dropped sear.Cheers, Don
It does same as you say. Thank for tell me.

The problem is when line release has presure on it from the shooting line alone and you pull the trigger, nothing happins.
With out the gun being loaded it cannot release the shaft if there is presure on the line release.
Alexander Mec. and home made line release.
Cookie has seen my speargun.

Do you speak spanish or is english your mother language? Don't intend to be a jerk, but sometimes the idea is lost with translations...
English is my only language. I just am not very good with explain this.

The mechs I've used release the lever and allow it to move forward when the trigger is pulled, but have no way to actually move the lever. The tension on the shooting line does that, so if there's nothing to move the lever forward it just stays there when the trigger is pulled. If you push on the lever with your finger and the lever moves when you pull the trigger, the mech is working properly, at least with the mechs I've had experience with.
Don't have camera to pic my speargun.
Am using alex mech in my sgun. And is working good. I warp shooting line tight that what cause line release not moving. So having band loaded will help line release go. -
its not moving without the bands loaded but is moving when it is loaded?
Yes. That i was try to say.

Since i am no speargun expert or never shoot any brand of speargun. So i can't tell diff from sgun. My first build speargun shoot without no problem.
My problem is line release not moving when without pull band on but release easily with pull band on. Is that normal or not? -
I dont know if you can use it to build a boat, but I have used it with succes in speargun building. But you have to have very tight joints, as it has poor gap filling properties. Before using it for a real project, I made a glue sample an put it in salt water for approx. half a year, and the joints were not even close to failing!
I know that Spearotiki used Gorilla Glue for his guns.I will be using heavy clamps to sure the joint are very tight. If there bit gap then will be fill with epoxy before painting top.
