Or you can lick/spit on it while its dry like a mask and then lick it periodically in the water.

    Interesting..

The water droplets messed up my jetski video a while back so I came up with this.

It takes a lot of rubbing to get it perfect...especially for filming in the rain but not as much for spearfishing.

Is $600 a good price for a trident 15 or prowler 15 used but in mint condition?

    which one is better?

I will be using it mostly in rivers but planning to freedive from it as well.

Nice pics, thanks for the report.

It's not a "freediving" mask because it has a clear skirt.

Thanks for the gopro, I'm in love with this thing!

Interesting. Its a low volume mask, that is why I figured it would be for freediving. It was all the way out there

Three sisters, I've been there. Don't waste your time, nothing to see there. There is an area with clear water but its only like 15ft deep.

Try the Devil's Den springs. You can take amazing photos and videos there.

I heard about springs with good freediving areas close to Orlando. Those are somewhat deep. Let me know if you find anything

Went out today.. the current was way too much. It pushed us 10 blocks north from where we started.. and we were swimming against it the whole time.

The visibility wasn't that bad. We didn't go half way past the first reef because it was just way too rough. No fish but we did see many lobsters.

    Here are some pics

Our launching point, who can guess where this is? :)

    The lobsters

    The visibility

Also found this mask at the reefs. I wonder what's the story behind it. It is clearly a freediving mask. Anyone know what brand this is?

I recommend ichetucknee springs for tubing. I had like the best day there! here are some photos I took last summer

Here's some tips.. When you rent the tubes, make sure you get them at the spot and tie them up to your car. Don't rely on the vendors there to bring them to you. They make mistakes and can forget. Get there early around 8am or 9am...they have a daily limit on how many people can tube from the very top of the river. Once you get in, wait an hour or two till everyone is far down the river so its not as crowded when you go.

Ginnie springs is another fun place to visit. Unlike ichnetucknee springs, you can bring coolers with alcoholic drinks there. Tubing is not as great but camping is decent and is kind of pricey. During certain times there are lots of drunken college kids which can also be fun, depending what you're into. There are caves there but they aren't deep to freedrive. There are a lot of scuba divers there who dive in the caves...so I guess there must be something interesting there.

At last the third place I visited was Homosassa springs and crystal river springs...nothing to see here. I came here to swim with the manatees but only saw one. Maybe I went at the wrong time of the year. I'm not sure but it wasn't worth the drive.

There are deep caves that are fun to freedive but I'm not sure which springs they are at. Interested to find out myself

Went out today just south of Vista Park.

Bad viz but workable. Saw some fish nothing big. Definitely better viz than yesterday when we went out in Hallandale.

My partner started feeling sick as we were approaching the end of first reef so we went back.. didn't even have a chance to load the bands... oh well.

    edit:

    this was yesterday's dive

    it should clear up soon

I pig out the night before and sleep for 4-5 hrs then go on an empty stomach. I usually do heavy greasy foods.. The other day I did 2 triple baconators from wendies but it wasn't enough.. Meat BBQed with lots of fat worked best for me..

The suit works perfect. I was in the water for 4+ hours on some of the coldest days and it kept me nice and warm. I did like 5 dives with it and there's no sign of wear on it. The quality is there, I recommend it.
