Yes spearotiki used to have few nice things, I have 2 arrecife 48" spearguns, one euro style and the other is a mid handle, I build both from the kits, great guns.

Here is a pic, this is a spearotiki knife modified with holes, when I got the first gun from him he send me the kit a SS knife blank with some teak for the handle, I gring for few hours:0 until I like the size, then went to a machine shop and tell them to make the holes, the polish, it still needs more polishing, but he does the job that way, the teack was epoxy.

In the past like 20 years ago there used to be a lot here in some parts of PR and friendly, in Crash Boat I saw the biggers ones, record size, few friend used to spear a few and like everyone said stomach full of big fish and lobsters, 2 weeks ago my nephew saw a big one around 200lb while scuba diving in Parguera but this one was wary.

My idea is to bend 2 tubes in U form and solder pieces of tubes on side and top, cut the small tubes with this http://www.harborfreight.com/c…item.taf?itemnumber=42324, I can cut in angle but triying the cut downs to a minimum.

Well I have to check what they have if pipe or tube, the diameter would be like 1.5", does they bend easily or have to heat them?

I am looking for a DIY bending alumminum tubes, is that I would like to make a poling platform for my boat and I think that $1500to $2000 is too much, I kow were to get the aluminum tubes and who can solder them, also if there is any adapter that I can get or make to take it out when using the boat for spearing or trolling, if it work I would make a casting platform.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dont think so, she is only 8 years old, I will do most of the loading, I will start with a gallon jug first so she takes the feeling of shooting, she has shoot my guns but only in open water not at something at it was a 48" with 2 tight 5/8 bands, so it kick a little for her, she put a scary face at first but it was change fast to a DAMN this is awesome and "I want a speargun" so it was a great exscuse to make another gun for the collection, so now i will be working on the bluewater gun.

Here is the gun for my daughter, is almost finish, only the line release, next is more snading, butt pad, bands and shaft.

they are all different sizes, but +/- from 4 x4 the lures, 4 x 16 like the marlin and ballyhoo, the dorado like 11 x 14, I can get the real size later and post them.

I always ask me the same, those 12 or few more inches that are enclose on the back do they really make a difference if any shaft wip?

Also I hate metal wish bones and the euro ones with the moving parts I hate them more, I think they are noisy and dont like the way they look, but thats me:D.

My wong the muzzle have 3 holes and he send me 3 bands, I put the 3 bands and try it, it feels a little harder but nothing like hurt me, I use it only with 2 bands.

I weight a 130 sea sniper reef pro no reel and it was 6lbs.

Hi Jeff here are the mesurements of my 55" Wong, the wood is 25 long x 1.5 wide x 1 7/8 tall.

The tube is 25.75 inches long x 1 inch wide

muzzle 4 x 1.5 x 1.5

gun has a omer aluminum reel full of line have to substract that to 5 lbs it weighted.

Jeff I am interested in a 60" hybrid so when you start this project and can make 2 I can pay you for the xtra one and materials or at least the basic and I can finish the gun here, let me know if not too much work on experimenting on 2 guns.

Later, weather here in PR is horrible, waves everywere, very cold and windy, yesterday I was all evening working on the boat carreton (sorry dont know the word in english)
