Owning/driving a boat doesn't require any training/certification. I've seen boats roll at Haulover inlet when it's rough, doesn't take much. A RIB is a very stable platform, used all over the world. From military,commercial, to recreation, it has proven itself to be very seaworthy.

Yup,fewer lobster and shitty economy ( lobster prices are pretty low right now like $3/lb.) So they've made the paper quite a few times on hard they have it.

Not sure what they use it for. I went back for a closer look and it was gone. There has been ALOT of lobster trap robbings, it's all over the news,and papers down there. They've even gotten private planes and boats to volunteer to run around and videotape anything suspicious.

Had this RIB(if want to call it that) pull up to the dock at work today. 750hp,32ft long....

Yeah his first time on the water in almost a year...

Didn't have a scale to weigh it. But I did get tired of holding it up. We estimated 15-20lbs???

Met up with Speedy at zero dark thirty at Port Everglades. Tide was going out which left us with horrible viz and a RAGING current:angry5:. We hit spot after spot and came empty handed.Lots of baitfish no shootable fish. Decided to go deeper on some wrecks, and that proved to be waste of time as we were kicking and not moving. Went back in shallow,a little less current, a little better viz. And BAM!!! I almost forgot to pull the trigger I was so surprised. First BIG Cubera for me!!! Bent my shaft:( But I promptly went on a Mojarra killing spree, after straightening it back out. Saw the some dudes on kayaks at the first reef with dive flags........

Hau, Dan and I have done many shoredives out to the 2nd and 3rd reefs. He's very capable of tagging along with you guys without a problem. He had a yak but I believe he sold it.
