did you get pinched?
Haha yep! First time in years. I grabbed three on a dive and one got me while I was trying to measure them.

Nice abalone, is the tag on it a Harvest permit? Never seen it before, but I know they take abs very serious down there.
-
Salmon are part of it, but they also have a lot of other food sources in the estuary type habitat you typically find them in.

A sport fishing license allows a resident 20 a day with a minimum size of 6 1/2". You can take what I said above about the creek and cove to any like area around here and do well with crab.

Despite my plans to dive threw the winter I never found the time. I decided it had been long enough and with the minus tides we have been having I dusted off my suit and went crabbing this morning. The spot I go is a small cove that has a medium sized creek running in to it. On really low tides the crab are forced off the flats in to what is now just the creek, so all the crab I got today were in fresh water. The crab gather in the deep water of this creek in large numbers waiting for the tide to return only spending about an hour in fresh water before the tide floods again. I got these crab in that hour in water 8-10' deep.

You make a tip that can crack rocks and keep its point, name your price and I'll pay it!!
-
If you only testing the tips then clamp down the gun a little more than a shaft length from your steel plate and use a long rope around the trigger so you can be at a safe distance when firing.

Ya no thanks.

Busy trip! You got some great eating stuff there too. I tell people all the time "it doesn't rain under water" if wait for nice weather you'll never get out.

I can't say contractions are always a sign of needing to breathe. I've had them early in a dive pushed on and felt fine after, also not till just before I break surface and feel like I was lucky to make it.
For me it's when I feel any discomfort or a contraction that is uncomfortable to let me know its time to surface. -
sweet:thumbsup2: loving the red.
Will you be offering just the belt as an option for people who prefer a different style buckle? -
looks awesome Dan! will you have this in a 7mm?

Welcom!!

Really nice to see this! Gives me some hope for the future. Been so long since iv ran a few sets...so much to do not enough time. Love the pics

Starting to see a few reviews out there. Any one get the 3+ in the water yet?
-
Do you find crab shells in them when cleaning? I ask because Iv never found shrimp or crab in the lings we catch, but that's not to say they don't at times.
-
Nice fish. Im surprised at how green those lings are. Is that typical for there? It's a color I usually don't see in our lingcod except in really small ones 10-12" and even then it's very light and only in spots.

On their site it says 30% increased battery life and the 40m is way deeper than I'd ever take it. Sounds like a winner can't wait to see some videos from one.

Sorry mate I have the same problem.;)
Now what were you trying to drag out of the hole ? ling?
Cheers, Don
No never had a ling hole up and already had one for that day. It was a big wolf eel. Wasn't really excited about sticking arm in a hole with a toothy fish as long as me. In hind sight if I could of stuck something in the hole for him to bite I could of pulled him out head first rather than sideways like I was trying which didn't work.
Only other fish to hole up on me are rock fish but they are easily pulled out.
