Northern CA Diver

  • Greetings from Northern California. New to the site and also the sport. With only one year of abalone and spear fishing under my belt, I'm looking for knowledge to refine techniques, gear selection, and training. Like many others, this sport has got a tight grip on me.. And lately has become a total obsession :D After googling countless reviews on gear and general questions and seeing this forum group pop up time and time again, I knew I had to join the site. I mainly dive in mendo county, But live in Sonoma county. I would like to meet other NorCal divers, I know I have a lot to learn.. But the best way is to get out there!

  • Welcome to Speardiver. Drop me a line or stop by at some point. In Santa Rosa.

I don't get wet as often as I like, tend to be making Sharpe Objects vs. using them.

Do you work in a machine or dive shop?

I'm not going to make it to Casper. Sounds like fun. I have my own Machine Shop where I make parts for local companies, I back fill schedule with dive gear and hunting products that I design.

I mostly do Engineering Consulting to put beans and rice on the table.
