I think what would be cooler is a shaft that houses a slip tip "bullet" in the end. With a purposeful short single wrap. Upon reaching the end, ejects the bullet into target. Because that is just as magical as this shaft increasing accuracy by 4-5cm.

4-5cm at what distance? 30% further... huh??

Can someone just make an underwater railgun already so we can launch spears so fast they create supercavitation and just blow things apart? :thumbsup2:

I'd be willing to give it a try. who knows. maybe the thing is awesome. but I highly doubt it.

Personally I have started becoming accustomed to the figure 8 follow through. It's a climbing knot, leaves a solid loop and has a pull test percentage of 75-80% of full strength (uni is around 90%, dunno what perfection is). Did I mention it is super easy to do? Everything considered though, I haven't tested it using mono. For kayaks and floatlines though it is the easiest and by far best knot I've found.

I made a little tutorial video. Let me know what you think.

I doubt they will release make and model, however I'm sure manufacturer will be contacted and go over that gun very carefully. I say this because every speargun I've bought has had plenty of warnings releasing liability of the company in any situation where the gun is "improperly used" or tampered with. Included with the proper usage directives is to never point at someone. So they kinda cover all their bases. Still a very tragic event that was 100% preventable ... :(

One has to wonder how this kind of thing could happen. But then I look back at some of the other incidents in my life and understand completely. It's insane how just a few seconds or inches can change the fate of a man. Diving alone in some ways seems safer...:nono::crazy:

It took me a long time to be able to load a gun without a bunch of wasted effort and pain. I load right below the xiphoid process. I've found this to be the least painful. As soon as both hands are on the bands I try and perform the loading action as quickly as possible. Can't wait to see some results! good luck!

Well it sure has been a while.... I figured i'd get caught up to date at least with submitting pictures :)

I'll start with just the other day.... Took Evil's boat out with his fam, chase tagged along. it was pretty uneventful until near the end of the trip. started finding an catching all sorts of stuff ;) ....and losing some stuff as well :X

    Watchoo lookin at!

lone lobster i snagged on the second reef. had to surgical with this ma :cool2:

This was a few months back. Took evil's boat out. in the picture beside me is my little bro, pointing at his fish ever fish speared (with a polespear) , and evils PB lobster, which was god awful enormous.

I forget when i got these... i think it was another dive with chase some months back.

Hopefully more to come soon! :thumbsup2:

It was shown that on the rack(the torture device) that the bones would crack/break before the ligaments and tendons would. I would assume the same is true for the tuna, especially considering the spine of the tuna is directly Connected from head to tail.

Well, I've been out a few times since the shark incident. I've been diving with Chase and a couple of his buddies. I recently had sinus surgery so I'm out of commission for the next month at least :( . Considering everything seems to have come to a grinding halt on the forum I'd post this minute long clip of a nice 15-16" hog I took while I was out with Chase the other week. Nothing fancy like Hardline, just a basic clip. Enjoy :)
