The gun turned out nice! Have you painted it before applying the shrink tube? I'm afraid you took off the anodization when you cleaned it and will have corrosion pretty soon at the barrel... :(

Im using the R.A. blue rubbers..yesterday i put a film of Nivea cream :0 on it, i hope thats works

La cagaste! Lava esa mierda lo antes posible!!! Nivea creme as well as other petroleum based creams/oils swell latex rubber.

Just fresh water all over the gun and let it dry in the shade in a well ventilated place. Forget about white color. Your rubber bands should last for at least 6 months (usually more). Then, you can replace them with any 16 mm bands you find in Italy.

Don't even toch the shaft. RA shafts tend to rust when the loose the surface treatment.

Vamos a ver...

As a first generation Venezuelan born Italian, I learned italian as my first language. Then Spanish when I started to interact with other kids. English at school and Portuguese speaking with my peers twice a year and by phone.

In my opinion, a second language should be taken more seriously while at school. My two kids understand italian (I always speak to them in that language), the older speaks English very well and the youngest is learning.

For me, Its been easier to learn new languages (I also understand a little french). I think once you have a second language, your brain kind opens to new ones...

Hau: Don't forget COÑO! Mierda! and Puñeta!

Tampoco te creas que hay muchos... Yo es el tercero que saco en 4 años viviendo aquí, pero es que tampoco le tiro a los pequeños.

Vente pá cá y salimos a pescar! ;)

    I never go alone.

Well, as many of you may know it is a very (VERY) good eating fish. The meat is similar to the hogfish but even better for me. One of my favorites.

The story? Well, a couple of months ago, Fernando and myself had spotted this fish and we were trying to catch it for almost all that day long; every time we descended the fish got into a cave dissapearing, just to come out as soon as we were ascending to the surface. That was for like two hours and 20 inmersions to 70 feet each. After being exhausted, we decided that he earned his life.

This Sunday, I was doing an "aspetto" in the sand between some coral formations looking for muttons when I saw it coming. I made some noises I do to atract spooky fish, while hiding behind a "abanico" coral and it worked. It came just close enough to stay away from the reach of my 130 Rob Allen and turned to go away. I pushed myself forward with my left hand just to gain those 3-4 feet I needed to have a confortable shooting distance and aimed to his mid body. When I saw the shaft passing all the way through, I released everything and surfaced for air. It was a 1'58" dive at 72 feet. I didn't weight it and already had some fillets last night for dinner.

The permit was also funny. I just jumped into the water and it came over me from the dept. I only loaded one band, dived like 3 feet and shoot (I ALWAYS miss surface shots!). I didn't want to take the chance for him to go away and acted as fast as I could.

BTW, it could have been a world record. Take a look here:

The only downside that I see is that it really needs to be custom fit to the camera housing.

I'm not sure about that, if it is alluminum, it can be bent to fit any housing. At the end of the day, what really keeps the camera in position are the rubber bands. You can also add more neoprene/silicone or any filler to the "cage".

Anyway, I have an Olympus Stylus 770 SW with it's housing. I offer myself as a "Stunt driver" :rolleyes1::D:cool2:

I insist, I have seen many housings broken due to the stress generated in that single small area.

Your design is just great, but I would do a couple modifications; You can drill continuous holes instead of the 5 holes, so you can slide the mount to the dsired position without the need of unscrewing the knobs completely.

On the other hand, I have seen many flooded (and even broken) housings due to the excess force in a single point, which is the screw hole. I have seen a design in an Italian website that is like a "cage" that they cover with neoprene, where the camera is fixed using tire tube pieces. That absorbs the recoil of the gun better and the force is not apllied all in one point.

Maybe you can come with a drawing of that?
