I think that 9 years for a wetsuit is enough, don't you?
I'll get three more years out of this suit. I got a fresh roll of duct tape.....:thumbsup2:

Mike, you can't do it at home in any way that would last. It's a factory process done in sheets, which in itself takes knowhow to get right.
Just curious if it's a new suit or old suit that delaminated?
Gecko, neoprene glue is only for rough neoprene to rough neoprene. Not Nylon or Lycra to neoprene.
Thanks Dan. The suit is 9 years old with a few hundred surf sessions on it. Its been a good suit but the sun eventually takes its toll. Not worth an extensive repair at this point.
Mike
Not sure I'm understanding you note / question. I don't see the volume of wood, for water displacement value.
I think most float the gun in water and tape the lead on top in different positions and amounts.
Not the easiest problem to figure out with a pencil, slide rule and big chief notebook.
Good point. Make sure you have the math correct before proceeding.
I am looking for an adhesive to reattach the nylon jersey to the neoprene.
Thanks
Yes. It will get you close.
I think the real mystery here is how Dan keeps his work bench so tidy.....:thumbsup2:
Awesome
Good stuff man.
Don,
I've put together a few recommended modifications for the upcoming holiday boat parades. The mods would also be good for rolling up to the local cluster **** kelp bed for WSB or just enjoying a beverage while anchored up at your favorite MPA...
His middle name must be Joe...
Nice catch.
If you want to be sponsored by Red Bull you have to man up........:@
That fish looks like its decomposing...:confused1:
Keeping the lens super clean also helps prevent fogging.:thumbsup2:
Are you sure it's not fake? How would a cam move on it's own and why would it point exactly where the shark will breach.
Here is some backstory...

The breaches happen really fast so I think its just luck when one gets captured on video.
Shark Bites Free Diver at Refugio

An estimated 6- to 8-foot shark bit a free-diving spearfisherman on the foot Thursday morning about 100 yards offshore of Refugio State Beach, according to California State Park Superintendent Eric Hjelstrom. The attack occurred before 9 a.m., while the diver was hunting in the cove and his friend was swimming nearby. “At first he thought it was just his friend pulling his leg,” Hjelstrom said.
The shark reportedly injured the diver’s foot and ripped off his swim fin. The diver then fended off the shark by pushing it away with his speargun, capturing the interaction with a small waterproof camera. Hjelstrom was not able to release details about the diver’s identity but did say his injury was “not life-threatening.” The spearfisherman reportedly swam to the beach and drove himself to the hospital, stopping at the park kiosk on his way out to mention the attack.
The temporary closure of the beach was lifted at noon on Friday, September 2. The campground is fully booked for Labor Day Weekend.
Glad the diver was not more seriously hurt.
Video was on youtube but looks like it was deleted...:confused1:

Very cool. I read somewhere that Mola's are a close relative of the puffer fish.
Nice looking sling Rick. Do you have any video of it being fired with the line release being deployed?
