I thinks it's so you don't walk around with your junk out in the open.

Buy a sten that shoots a 8mm shaft. I use 100cm sten for my hole gun and my secondary gun because the holes we shoot in aren't that tight. You will only need one spring stainless steel shaft for the life of the gun especially if you trim down the shaft. I prefer to shoot pneumatics when the shaft barely comes out of muzzle far enough where the flopper will open. This makes the gun better balanced. This gun could easily take down a cobia or AJ if they swam by you while you were looking in holes. You can also grab the shaft while the fish is thrashing and the spear will still be straight. A 100cm pneumatic with a very short shaft is not a long gun but packs a ton of power. Ive shot through the head of a 44 lb cubera, 40lb amberjack, and 60lb cobia with that gun.
Are you referring to a Mares Sten or some other brand gun and also do you think some sort of dry barrel kit will be needed for this gun and if so which one do you think will be best?

I have been looking into getting a pneumatic gun and invest some money into it to make it an all round gun.
I do mostly reef fishing but would like to be able to have something if I ever do go out on a boat.
What are you guys thoughts on a Mares Cyrano 110 with a reel, for reefs as well, as the possible future trip out to deep water. -
Looks sick, I want one already. I have always looked at my gun and wondered how I can get a better feeling grip on it.
If a CAA is $40, get the MIAD.
Magpul makes a less expensive grip thats about $20 called the MOE.

Magpul MIAD or the Hogue grips both are excellent.

Another vote for it being really cold today, after two hours I was miserable. Dan remember me when you get the suits in, I got back the money the government took from me last year.

Would have been cooler if you let me think he named the shark.
-
You named the shark? Nice

It looks extremely well done, is this the first attempt at a muzzle like that, must have taken some head scratching at first.
-
How did you mold the band holes in the muzzle? Just curious
-
Shoot it, shoot it, god damn it, shoot it.

Those can get pretty big but I don't think they grow as fast or get as big as the Burmese Pythons

Boa Constrictor, I used to have one back in the day, lovely snakes once they have been tamed down bit. Not supposed to be in South Florida.
-
I don't even know what brand snorkel I have.

I have the Riffe frame-less, don't know if I have a "big face" but my nose definitely ain't small and it really works well for me so far.

Yes, it was in the middle of winter as most of the SH congregate on structure and spawn during these months. There were everywhere, but unfortunately so were the sharks. I think it was winter of 2007 Jan-Feb time frame.
Yes water get much cooler up here than say South Florida and the Keys. Nasty thermoclines sometimes in the mid to high 50s.
I never realized/thought the water can be that different in temperature just an hour or so north.

It would be cool to see a slow motion shot of that.

I was wondering if it would work because my mother-in-law to be makes fish lures she always have stainless steel cordage and the right crimps.
Will be there a similar disadvantage like the older style metal wishbones with stainless wishbones?
-
Dan, do you think these will work with stainless steel cordage for the wishbone?

How are they at killing the pigs?
