I stumbled on this forum while searching for Dan's Pursuit fins... I'm from Long Island, NY and green with envy when thinking about the Florida guys who get to dive almost year around. Most of my dives are in 30 - 60 ft and in 8 - 15ft viz for 30-50lb stripers, in bad current (strong tidal current going over reefs that raise from 150ft to 30ft).
More than half of my dives I'm alone - either from the shore or from my jetski. The other half are from boats with a few close friends.
Gear-wise I am a strong believer in rail-guns, but recently I'm going over on the dark side of mid-handles: I started using a short Riffe M1 last year, and this year I got a mid-handle hybrid. I'm still struggling to find the perfect fins and so far I settled on the Nemo #5 (went through Sporasub Carbon and C4 Mustang Flap 40 before this, plus a bunch of plastic).
...not a big fan of long introductions, but looking forward for some great threads!
