I bought the both of them too. I liked the mask until I got it in the water. With my snorkel in my mouth, the mask leaked. That was a bummer because I really liked how comfortable it was and the large field of view.
My impression of the snorkel so far is that it works just like a snorkel.

I don't think that I will be headed out but conditions looked good a couple of minutes ago.

Stones make a really cool inlay in your custom gun.

As some of you may know, Dustin McIntyre, the owner of Gatku, has a son in a battle with cancer. Monte is just a young boy. As you can imagine there is not only the emotional torture to deal with but tremendous financial strain as well.
Next weekend the 12, 13 of May I have a FII Level 1 course in Oceanside with empty spots. The three highest bidders win a spot. All the profits will go to the McIntyre family. Bidding will end on Wednesday at noon.
Some of you may already know that much of the reason I became an FII instructor is because I won a FII course in the Gatku polespear tournament and was exposed to a tremendous educational system.
Please consider helping out the family of a pillar in our dive community.

$900 for an undersized fish or lobster in California. $10,000 for a trophy dear or elk out of season in Colorado. $26,000 for over 500 sharks! What a tragedy.

I guess I will not take opaleye for a while.

Hey there my landlocked friends. I'm puting on a FII Level 1 course in Rifle, Colorado on May 19, 20 at Rifle Gap State Park. I chose this location because of the campgrounds, deep water and non-extreme altitude. If you have any questions, please let me know. brandon@deepfreedive.com.

I have the same gun, two bands and a RA 7mm pinned shaft and the thing is my go to gun for just about every situation. $200 is a deal for this really accurate and reliable gun.

Nice Hank. I have definately need to get down there for a dive.

The rule of 9's:
90% of hypoxic events (Blackouts/LMC) happen on the surface after the dive is finished.
9% happen between 15 feet and the surface.
.9% happen between 80 and 15 feet.
.1% let's worry about that after you dive deeper than 80 feet.Always dive with a buddy and take a freediving class.

That is an insane improvement.. I'm currently using stingrays, really makes me wonder.
I should add that I had similar results with Nemo footpockets to. 10 kick cycles to reach 20 meters but with my feet, they give me blisters. I am the only person I know of this happens to. A good footpocket is as important as a good fin.

The stingray is a very comfortable footpocket and was my favorite footpocket until I tried the pathos. The pathos is lighter and has superior energy transfer. The stingray took 14 kick cycles to get to 66 feet. The pathos 10. That translates to 8 less kicks to 20 meters and that means more bottom time. Stingrays are not bad but give me pathos any time.

Hank, nice work. Have you been able to confirm whether or not tourist can spearfish there or not?
