I envy that backdrop with the mountains and city so close to wahoo waters :crying:

Marco and his boys are the fish whisperers. They shoot big wahoo with 70cm pipe guns :D
Their hunting skills and fish knowledge are so good that they don't need no stinkin blue water guns like you and me Dude george

Any day now Marco will post a vid of a wahoo taken on pole spear

Seen one take a permit and spear from a diver below me in the keys, have had them try to take lobster from me around under bridge pilings too

Thanks DownTime. I appreciate your story and warning. I think IF I ever did go out of an inlet it would not be far (and realize it don't take long for weather to change, even wen close to shore). My friend has only seen pics of my boat, not sure he realizes how low it is....he mentioned a guy he knew that ran dive charters 9th a 14' Panga....but a Panga has a higher bow and maybe higher gunnels than mine. At any rate, I am very spooky about this, as I do not want to lose my rig, or worse. Thanks again for viewing and the message!! Will heed!!
A Contender, that's a BOSS boat right there!!!!

Pangas are built for open water, even the small ones. Also be mindful of the tides, sometimes on outgoing tide it gets scary bringing in my 25' through Haulover. Also you don't have to go far to shoot nice fish, I have shot NICE hogs in 5-8ft of water in sheltered water

Hows that IPB treating you? I was close to picking one up to shoot around the bay and flamingo in. As far as seaworthiness out of the inlet it would have to be a really nice day (Cubans float over in worse  ) that little boat is worth its weight in gold for inshore lobster though :cool2:

I appreciate all the info fellas! I'm now set on a Speardiver 3mm suit and I think I'm heading down to Fort Lauderdale this weekend so I'll probably stop by the shop and pick out a winner .

I have a Speardiver suit, best suit and you can't go wrong with either. Just rinse it if you piss in it :D

If you don't make it to Ft. Lauderdale I think shipping was only $10 from Spearfishing Store wetsuits to Miami.

Welcome, I also started with a rob allen tuna but the 110 :thumbsup2: and yes Hogfish is one of the best tasting fish in our waters

I have a D ring on my belt to attach a short stringer and have attached a float line to it sometimes, the only negative to it is that when you are descending it gets tangled between your fins as you kick
