Hey guys, Rich VanDusen here. Some of you may already know me as "thereefgeek", and others may just know me as "dick" :D. Been diving and spearing since about '02, mostly up in the chilly waters of Northern California for rockfish and halibut, but also a little polespear action in the Cook Islands, and once with a gun off the beaches of Maui.
A buddy of mine and also a member on this board helped me with my first home-built spear gun about two years ago, and then painstakingly dragged me through the kelp on multiple occasions until I hung my first white sea bass off the end of it a few months ago.
I actually stumbled on this site a several days ago while Googling something else, and I'm honored to be approved for membership. I really like what I've read so far in the forums, and appreciate the smaller and respectful community you guys have created here. I promise to be on my best behavior.....
