haha I had a shot of a buddy puking through his snorkle, but Idk what happened to it. Had another guy puke through a regulator. Dont do that, it tends to mess it up lol. Nice report man. Why'd you switch to 1 band in the first place if you dont mind me asking?

Nice vid, looks like a couple other studs got away that day... Did they bolt as soon as they saw you or just when you descended on them?

I little bit of both. The big ones bolted the second they saw me, but the smaller ones ~10lbs stuck around at the edge of my gun range. I was diving with a 75cm mares phantom carbon, so the range on it was not good enough to pop one of those mutts at say 15ft.

It was the head strap, which I'm still trying to figure out how to mount properly with the angle and everything. It seems like it was a little high in this video. Thanks for the tip on the filler. I'll keep it down next time around. I didnt speed up any of the video except for the loading the boat scene. And yes I was zooming underwater at that first mutton because he was so spooky that the second he saw me, he took off lol!

As many of you know, I go to medical school in Grenada, West Indies. I recently had a week break to go on a little adventure throughout the lower Caribbean Islands. I started from Grenada and took a ferry to Carriacou and went to Petite Martinique on the same ferry. Spent the night in PM and took a private boat over to Union Island, St. Vincent. From Union, I took the Jaden Sun to Bequia, SVG to meet my friend Nadeem (bequia Blues). We had planned a few days of spearing and I was very excited to spear a new location in the Caribbean!

    Packing for the trip:

    St. George’s, Grenada Harbor

    Carriacou:

    Petite Martinique:

I arrived in Bequia around 8:30am

Picked up by Nadeem and after a quick stop for a boat driver (Michelle), we went to his gorgeous 32 Luhrs!

We speared for a few days and killed a good amount of fish. Here are the highlights! Got the lobster diving on tanks, and the mutton freediving a wall that went from 30ft to about 130’. The mutt went 20lbs and the two biggest lobster were 6 and 8lbs. Absolute pigs! I’ll let the pics do the talking for me though! The muttons were being super spooky both days, with sightings of probably 9 or 10 muttons on the last day including one that I would venture a guess as to 10lbs larger than the one that I caught. The erratic behavior of the mutts was frustrating us all day until I was lucky enough to get a stupid one that upon seeing me ran up the wall instead of down the wall and holed up in a coral head. This fatal mistake proved advantageous to me as all I had to do was dive down into the coral head and plug him with a solid holding shot!

On the way back, there was some tropical weather moving in to the area and had to outrun a few storms on the Jaden Sun. We had two waterspouts touch down next to the boat between Mayreaou and Cannouan

All in all, it was a great trip! I’d like to thank Nadeem (bequiablues) for his amazing hospitality and getting me on the muttons! As well as George Steele (dude_george) for getting the trip set up for me! I hope you all had a great time looking at the pics and reading this report!
