Nice! I'm headed back up on a bonzai run June 9-10 to grab two limits. Hopefully I can get into some fish this trip.

I'd say 65" minimum for a true blue water gun
X2
A lot of blue water guys are getting away from the 72" cannons and going towards a more maneuverable 65". I have a 61" and it barely has the range that a true blue water gun should have.
You could turn that stock into a hybrid though....

Nope no tears, although the Lycra looks like some one used it as Velcro. It just looks slightly fuzzy, but the whole glove looks like that now anyways from being used so much.

New you tube channel?

I've grabbed small leopards, horns of all sizes, and an angel shark. Never been brave enough to grab onto a soupfin though... The big bull horn sharks get aggressive. I had one attacking my fins for a solid minute before returning to the bottom. A few months ago I had the go pro running so, feeling dumb and young, I put my finger (gloved) in a very small horn sharks mouth just so I could say I've been bit. It stayed latched for close to a minute, light pressure. although when chicks ask to see a scar I'll point to something different... Plus my go pro sd card maxed out so I don't have it on film.

" IMO it can't make up for the thousands of shit spearguns they unloaded on the market throughout the years, only changing their design when the market forced them to. I would be embarrassed to sell such a contraption."

I still remember when I was a little kid pulling the trigger on a 5# sheephead with my friends 38 special and watching the shaft fall short on what would have been my biggest fish at that time (10 years old). What a disappointment...

Oh and one more thing which I'm sure they're doing but it's worth mentioning. Make sure they are flying into Panama City and then jumping on another flight to Bocas del Toro or at least into Changuinola. The 10 hr+ bus ride from Panama City to Bocas del Toro is BRUTAL, but interesting
Yea, my parents are flying into Panama City then catching the puddle jumper into Bocas a few days later.
My parents are getting amped on the trip. Hopefully my dad doesn't try to take my C100s... He has been eyeing them like crazy...

Well for my parents 25th wedding anniversary, they are taking off to Bocas del Toro and getting a sweet house on a private island. My dad will be bringing my breakdown pole spear along with his basic dive gear and would like to tag a snapper or other fish for some dinner.
Any tips/regs regarding spearfishing the east coast of Panama?

Congrats man! Looks like a great trip!
My favorite part of the drive is right before you pop out onto PCH, absolutely beautiful!
How did you prepare the snails?
Cheers!

Oh joy. The best thing to see before a trip there...

Very cool! I love the super hokey films of the war era. Make one about diving, even cooler! But then again I am a history nut, especially early 19th to mid 20th century period..
Cheers!

Sweet! DVR is set to record, but I'll probably watch it live anyways!
