IMHO this is great news not only for the US but for the entire free world :thumbsup2:considering the fact that he has been eluding US forces for so long after committing such hideous crimes. Money spent to hunt down criminals like that should not be questioned :nono:as you wouldn't want to send the message they can get away if it costs money. After all, a lot of money is being wasted on other stupid sh#$% like saving banks and big corporations.
To preserve American lives , save $$ and send a clear message there is always the option of using the most abundant element on Earth, H.;) (JK) -

I was referring to the PFI record that Jim mentioned. I have always been curious why they dont have a safety diver ( on scuba) that down deep in case of emergency. I know things like this dont happen very often but in extreme competitions things like this can happen and deep water black out is a possibility. Seems like it might be worth it as divers are diving deeper and longer than ever.
What they told is that when you go very deep in competitions you must wear a lanyard that is attached to the dive line and they can pull you up in a hurry in case of an emergency. Safety divers meet you 1/3 or 1/4 of the way where 99% of blackouts typically occur.

An interesting thing happened at Vertical Blue Competition last week. Walter Steyn of Aus became "narked" (nitorgen narcosis) at 122m and ending up staying there for 40 sec before he realized he needed to come up
Total dive time 4:28.This is why I don't dive to those depths
but I'll keep it in mind next time I reach 120m:laughing3: -

They really don't push for any depth you don't feel confortable with, but they don't let you dive past 82 feet until the last day and ours got cancelled due to bad weather so we can go back and finish our last day of dives with another class. After going through the course and pool training, unless you have issues equalizing, you will be able to get to 66 feet with ease.

Thank you everyone for the feedback and advise. once I decide to upgrade to carbon I will go with the Speardiver c90s which should be sometime next month That will be my birthday present.;)
