• This site was recommended to me by my friend John Hughes.
I've been free diving since I was a kid and was scuba certified in 1973. I've been commercial diving for about 25 years or so.
I didn't get serious about freedive hunting until about 4 years ago....it's nice to be stoked all over again with diving.
I usually only dive from a boat as I'm an amputee. Lost my leg in a motorcyle accident years ago although I tell the kids that a gws took it;)

  • Welcome Cap't....i really like your avatar. How long did it take to adjust to one fin swimming if you dont mind me asking?

Don't mind you asking at all. It didn't take long at all. I kind of swim on my side and do the dolphin kick if I really have to move.
If I don't roll on to my side I swim in circles:D

I know other amputees that use a prosthetic leg when they swim.......I may have to try that sometime. It's a bitch when you get into heavy current and only have half the horsepower.

  • My grandfather is an amputee below the knee, stepped on a mine in WW2, so I know a little about what it's like to live with it. There was a time when I was thinking about going into prosthetics, interesting field, I feel I could've brought something to it.

Which fin are you using Ron?

  • Welcome Capt, I'm really happy to see you here. I think you'll find this to be a fun place with a great bunch of guys. Looking forward to see your pic's of the Baja trip when you or John have time.
Looking forward to diving again with you this season.
    Cheers, Don

    Hey Dan,
Just realized who you were. I have been using the edge but on a recent trip to baja I tried the fin you sent me a couple of years ago.
It is the pursuit c90 carbon fiber.
I have to tell you that fin is sick... The one you sent me you thought it might be a little bit stiff but its perfect. I was so impressed with that fin. I was able to swim all day in stiff current and it really performed.:thumbsup2:
I had not tried that fin until my recent trip....now I wish I had. Thanks for the great product.
