Just thought id pass along this little useful trip I picked up today that can be applied to our sport. One of my pet peeves is having a weight belt sliding on the non skid finish of the boat and leaving lead marks, also the clanking noise when placed to close to each other on a belt (non coated weights) so I picked up a can of Plasti Dip at Home depot and brushed on 2 coats, voila dont have to pay the price for coated weights! this would also be great for slippery handles with a little sand thrown in.
