Lobser Bisque mmmmmmmmmmm.

  • So the wife and I are getting board with eating just lobster, and we are now trying different recipes and this was tonites dinner (sorry there are no pics) so here you go guys and girls . If you have any questions let me know .

    Ingredients
    1 cup chicken broth
    2 medium slices onion
    1 clove garlic
1/2 cup finely chopped portabella mushroom
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1 cup fat free milk
    1 cup half and half
1/2 teaspoon salt (may need more, taste as it simmers)
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1 pound cooked and cubed lobster meat (par boil tail for two minutes, grill for 3.5 minutes with garlic & olive oil, don't cook fully)
    1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    2 pinches ground cayenne pepper
    1 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste

    Directions
    1. In a small frying pan place 1/4 cup chicken broth and the onion, mushroom & garlic. Cook over a low heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
    2. In a medium size pot over medium heat melt the butter. Slowly whisk in flour. Whisk until a creamy mixture is created.
    3. Gradually pour in broth, whisking constantly. Whisk in milk, half & half, salt, pepper, parsley, onion/mushroom mixture, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste and cayenne pepper. Turn heat to low or simmer. Simmer for 50 minutes, throw in lobster meat, simmer for 10 more minutes. Do not boil the soup as the milk will curdle when boiled. Serves 4 European servings or 2 in American servings, serve immediately.
