It's actually more securred by the pressure of the washers against the muzzle now and the band materal is to avoid a sloppy fit. Also I will not be poaching or breaking any laws . I will confine my fishing to Piers on H and L as to avoid a ticket and eat more fillers such as more veggies to suppliment the lack of fish. But what I wont do is stop diving . I don't drink ,I don't smoke and I hate most sports so I'm kinda limited on outlets so I will get in the water

yeah i shortened it .i had to calulate the band expantion and leave enough room to get the lock washer and nut on . My Photographer (wife ) was unavailible for a reshoot . I do need the flat lens and a sd card and I'll take care of that next week . This is also a proto type it not even stainless . If it works out o.k I'll butcher some stainless this weekend .

So this is what I came up with do to the fact that I decided not to get a fishing license this year .What i did was I removed the trigger mech , line release and bands . Next i got a 1 1/2" piece of 5/8ths band material and a 1/4" carrage bolt and ran it through the the solid band slot then i placed washers on the end along with a nylock nut and tightened the whole thing up so that the washers tighten against the band slot (i did this so if the band material compresses the washers will hold it in place).

You should check out the bag made by Precision Dive Products it's compact , durable and well made . By a free-diver for free-divers. It has straps for a gun and floatline and room inside for weight belt and weights,a five mil. wetsuit ,mask and a snorkel and strong enough to hold it all . And now with the end of year sales you can get a deal I'm sure . It's on my Christmas list

I personally use a mini Q-40 by uk (it comes with a strap to connect to your mask ) I also use a C4 by uk connected to a floatline and a float so i can ditch the light in mid grab for reinforcements. I personally love diving at night due to the fact that your world is confined to your beam of light. If you do decide to go out at night bring a buddy you have confidence in and only go as deep as absolutly necessary. In cali I've got most my bugs in less than Ten feet of water this year and two of them have been personal bests for me.

Hey Ash I found an O'neil grom hooded 4/3 in closed cell . I that doesn't work you can call Surf n Sea in O.B. their on Bacon just south of Newport . I can't remember the owners name for the life of me but she is top notch and affordable , she does repairs, modifications and custom open and closed cell suits .The only thing is she can't get certain cammo paterns due to her supplier (and we all know how important that is ). Good luck and i believe you guys will be happily and comfortably diving soon.By the way her # is(619)222-1231

and i found a new spot thats rich (in sea life ). 15 minutes in I caught 5 almost legal bugs..... and then there he was ( the pinkeybreaker) . when I first grabed him I thought he was a three pounder and I guess he kicked like one . I grabbed him by the tail and i felt a very sharp pinch and a lot of pain . he ended up weighing in at 1pound 14 oz. But will put me out of the water for a week or so. Next bug I get was just barely legal and easy to grab other than the fact that my good hand has the broken pinkey, into the bag with big daddy (for me ) the next bug was at least a pound and a half and as I'm trying to unlock my game bag he slips out of my hands and i swear he gave me the bird as he torpedoed away. After that I find another 1/4" over legal and by that time my pinkey was swelling and throbbing so i headed in to avoid having to cut my glove off due to swelling .and heres the boogs .

So the wife and I are getting board with eating just lobster, and we are now trying different recipes and this was tonites dinner (sorry there are no pics) so here you go guys and girls . If you have any questions let me know .

    Ingredients
    1 cup chicken broth
    2 medium slices onion
    1 clove garlic
1/2 cup finely chopped portabella mushroom
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1 cup fat free milk
    1 cup half and half
1/2 teaspoon salt (may need more, taste as it simmers)
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1 pound cooked and cubed lobster meat (par boil tail for two minutes, grill for 3.5 minutes with garlic & olive oil, don't cook fully)
    1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    2 pinches ground cayenne pepper
    1 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste

    Directions
    1. In a small frying pan place 1/4 cup chicken broth and the onion, mushroom & garlic. Cook over a low heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
    2. In a medium size pot over medium heat melt the butter. Slowly whisk in flour. Whisk until a creamy mixture is created.
    3. Gradually pour in broth, whisking constantly. Whisk in milk, half & half, salt, pepper, parsley, onion/mushroom mixture, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste and cayenne pepper. Turn heat to low or simmer. Simmer for 50 minutes, throw in lobster meat, simmer for 10 more minutes. Do not boil the soup as the milk will curdle when boiled. Serves 4 European servings or 2 in American servings, serve immediately.
