C'mon guys! That's an awesome picture! Don't look for the cat's fifth leg....
All catches have two spear holes; an "ugly" one and the nice and small one. That's the one chosen for the poses.

SB bad habits are hard to kill:D
Went back to Brett's albums and found a topside follow up pic.
What do you all think?
Dude is a Park Officer as well for New South Wales. Legit is what I say. You'd have to be one short peckerd dumb ass to even consider catchin a fish on H/L and posing with it UW...
Which is most lame?
1. Posing with line caught fish to pass as a speared fish.
2. Posing with a fish speared by someone else as your own.
3. Posing with a line caught fish (caught by someone else) as a your own speared fish.
4. Shooting a fish in one wetsuit, then changing into another to take pics.
Or is it only lame if you get called out on it
ehh.. I'm tired of this story.
Some more...
Either that or bustin out gill shots on his dodos...
I say its legit...
Hey, look! That corvina has a powerhead hole in its face!:laughing3:

Personally, I think its lame to not give people the benefit of doubt. I am allways sending invitations on my page to my friends to join us here. I sure hope that Brett did not see this. That would be embarassing to me and something I would expect to see on that other board. You really think he h/l'd it?
Lets take a look again at all three dodos. It appears that we have three different fish, in three fifferent outfits:
Well at first you said it was a follow up pic of the same fish.
I tend to overlook these things, and I wouldn't have noticed if Davie didn't point it out. But once the doubt exists human nature makes it impossible to sweep it under the carpet, because no one likes to think they've been taken for a fool.
Other than that when it comes to promoting gear with pics or videos you have to be intelligent about it. Not use anything that could give people cause to doubt. For example I have some nice footage of Pursuit fins in action in Cuba, spearing a beautiful Nassau grouper pretty deep. I'd love to use it, but I know that even though it's legal to spear Nassau grouper in Cuba, and supposedly there are plenty of them in that particular area, the video will probably cause speculation, so I'll never use it. It's just something that should be expected. The fellow in question did not take into consideration that there's no discernible spear hole in the fish, and line marks on it's side that would cause doubt. If I was him and knew the fish was legit I'd brush off what was said here, but would make a note to be more careful with future promotional pics. Or maybe the man doesn't care at all about what we say, seems like he's busy spearfishing.
Guess if we doubt legitimacy, we can allways watch it on youtube and see first hand how the fish were shot...

Guess iyou have a point.
I too take bs very seriously and dont like cheaters. That is why I am going out of my way to show you what Brett is all about, since I posted his pic here. To me it was more about the great pic rather than the fish. Then it became about somethin else and I know for a fact that none of us want any of that around here.
Guess he likes archery as well...
