Conditions were good up here in northern, northern cal today. No surge with 8-10ft viz. had a hell of a time tracking down decent lings, abs all over.......hopefully they will still be there in a couple weeks.

Looks like you have some tasty fish there. I need to make a trip up north for some more abs.

Lol I was diving the other day with about 10ft viz and I thought so this is what it feels like in North Cal minus the cold water... Nice catch!

And the fish!! If we could do as well as they do in the crap vis I wouldn't complain a bit
Now the temp, that they can keep

I find that the low viz helps with fish. They don't see you coming. The kelp also helps hide you on your descent.

The water temp isn't that bad, as long as you're wearing a two piece 7mil with gloves and booties!! Anything less than 7-10ft vis and it seems like the fish(even the lings) are a little more skittish. When the vis is that low and you suddenly come into the fishes field of view they don't have time to decide if you're a seal or just another two legged creature trying swim around in their world so they bolt or disappear back into the murk.
