Divers Direct Evo Elite 3mm tearing

    This is a heads up about the Evo Elite 3mm 1 piece at Divers Direct.
    Scott Rapp bought 2 that tore at the shoulder within the first weeks use and he has changed to another
    brand of suit.
    Mine tore yesterday at the zipper base, about a 4x4 tear. I take really good care of my gear as my money is very tight right now and the suit still tore.
    So if you bought one of these suits, please save/find your receipt just in case. The suit is guarenteed for 2 years, but so far 40 days is the longest mine lasted.

    Thanks for the heads up. I agree that the Evo suits are cheaply made. One of the ways to tell is the finishing at the wrists and ankles. The stitching is the bare minimum to keep the material together. I've had good experiences with their other stuff though. The Evo rashguard I have has lasted a summer's worth of diving with no damages. A mesh dive bag that they sell is very durable and has been my favorite for a couple of years. I wouldn't buy their wetsuits though unless there was no other option.
