So I have a desire to stream line my process from pulling the trigger to fish in the float/boat. I currently use my calf knife to brain the fish, usually while on the shaft and then, remove from shaft and swim to boat or pull in float. I have tried in the past using the shaft to iki the fish. I don't like this. First I don't like to take the fish off without him being dead and two the shaft has nothing to give grip and is unwieldy while underwater. I want a quick draw way to dispatch fish. I had this idea. Make a small and low profile iki. I came up with this. You loop a finger through the loop and you get a lot of control and can apply a lot of force. a titanium tent spike I am thinking about putting a small glob of shape lock on the top but I don't think it is necessary. I am going to either pour a new pinch weight and drill out a home to slide this in Or use a bungee around a weight to hold it there I also have a small knife on my belt for emergencies I am going to see if I can find a way to mount it there. I also though about clipping it five feet behind me on my floatline.
