RIP Big Johnny Carrol

The world lost a legendary Spearfishermen and inventer yeaterday, he died in his sleep.
Johnie Carroll invented the Aqua Twin double speargun in the 50's.
Here we are with my gun(Double Trouble) at a Legend's meet organized by Jackie Riffe in the mid 80's behind the Bottom Scratcher booth. I will miss my old friend.:( but happy he is not suffering any more.
John was a Lifetime member of the LA Fathomiers.

''With Big John's passing, it is not just the loss of a pioneer, but of an era. Times pass quickly and there are very few of this time period who remain. The Fathomiers have lost too many in the last few years . These are the greats we should emulate from. Technology and gear have changed enormously, but we need to remember the spirit of the sport and what these men contributed and adjust our attitude accordingly! I will miss you Johnny!''
