Wary Fish

    I went to per dido pass at orange beach and dove the jetties. I saw allot of fish mainly sheephead, mangoos, and grouper. The fish were very wary and would hide in rocks does anyone have any tips. Oh Ya, the vis was about 30ft.

    That is absolutely astounding visibility for that area! I hunt Pensacola Bay mostly, and the fish get very skittish when the visibility is good. I am much more successful when it's more like 12-15'.

    Peek in the rocks with a light and shoot them.


    If your breath hold is ok, go down away from the rocks and slowly swim towards them.

    get a crappy trident or para tip, one you can rebend by hand, and shoot em in the hole...the tip will allow you an easy time on the pull out and wont get wrecked by repeated rock slams
