Thanks Jeff, I appreciate your help. I'll definitely take the measurement and send it to you to see what you can find. I will pay the shipping of course.

the good news is the rabitech apex handle is a female connection so the barrel goes into the handle, so I should have plenty of room. the tricky thing will be pushing the plug forward a little bit...

Not sure what the difference would be, I'd install the same way alum or carbon. Make sure you're ahead of the plug. I'd insert a wooden dowel close to the ID of the carbon tube to anchor the screws into. Drill away..

If you don't want to drill your only other alternative is a reel with a clamp style attachment. You can do this if your barrel allows it, taking into consideration the clamp doesn't interfere with the track. Post a pic of your barrel and the reel.

if I use a sheet metal or wood screw won't it delaminate the carbon on the other end? I was thinking I'll need to use a machine screw with a bolt at the other end (inside the barrel) and some rubber washer in between the nut the circular inside to level it off. also, I don't know about wood inside the barrel?? won't it fall apart?

clamp on won't work without removing some of the rail, I really don't want to do that, plus the reel I'm thinking of mounting is the RA reel with a bracket.

I want it to be done right. I wonder what Tin Man thinks the right way is...he is Mr Carbon

I need some help here. I realized the other day that this isn't going to be as easy as I thought. When I installed a reel on an alum barrell, it's just drill and put ss sheet metal screws.

how do I properly install a reel on a carbon barrell? anyone has experience doing this? the gun is a rabitech 120 carbon

    Thanks

    hmmmm,

nice last supper, von voyage. there is always new and better things awaiting in the future.

I assume Sergio you are leaving soon for your new job. Good luck buddy and make the most of it!

    2-3

I think with strong and short rubbers you get better leverage pulling on the higher abs just below the chest. If you've ever been to a gym :D and tried machine rows, that is where the pull naturaly feels best, try to pull low to your hips or too high on the chest, doesn't feel right

The title goes back and forth. :D I am current holder now :toast:

Fish were 75 to 85ft and had to do some long aspettos so the big ones would come close. I few big ones wouldn't come close no matter what.

    Gun is the denton 110cm.

    :hail1:

    his majesty :thumbsup2:

I hate going to the doctor's office. Waste of time and money to tell me what I already know.

Yesterday I had a lot pressure on my sinuses right above my eyes. After I would start my descent pain would start around thirty feet and get progressively more intense. When I would lay on the bottom it would go away or if I would level off for a second then continue my descent, I could keep going. I had no problem equalizing at all day. Anybody have any home remedies for sinuses? Also, I do nasal rinses a couple of times a week.

it's a sinus block, or squeeze, happened to me once, it keeps the sinus cavity from equalizing causing sharp pain, like a tooth ache. Clear up your sinuses with some alegra and nasacort or nasonex for a few days, you'll be good to go.

don't dive while it still hurts or you will bust up tissue in there which will make it longer to heal.

Hello everyone, finally got out there sunday, top to bottom viss 70 to 75 feet. Let me make this short and sweet not a lot of fish out there, we went deep, shallow back deep and nothing.Shot some hogs here and there small cuda a yellow jack but nothing crazy, 4 divers on an average 4 fish per person.I want to ask this question for quite some time now, what is the deal with the moon and fish and how can we tell. We went to decent spots, very nice reefs and cuts and I just dont understand why we did not at least see more fish, everything was small....Had a good time, good friends, great viss and water temp was nice also....

that's still a nice bunch of fish. I always wonder the same thing with the moon phases, but also on Sunday I had a good day out of a bad area (Boynton/LW) with some big fish around.

I was starting to think that because that reel does look pretty big. Which one is it? I heard about the saturday troubles, sounds like he got it figured out.:thumbsup2:

it's the RA composite reel, but these alum RAs 110 are heavy when you put a reel on them.

no, he still had problems. I went out with some other guys...

    thanks guys

    Frank,
the yellow thingy is a little float thing to add a little bouyancy to the gun with the shaft out :D

    black1,
we started out the day a little deep in the blue water hoping to see some wahoo, a school of permit came by, we got 2 of them. then we worked some sections of the reef north of the inlet in 50-70', that's where we got all the fish.

after a few failed attempts to get out lately made it out for a little bit on sunday. nice day, great conditions, top to bottom in up to 75', light current, water was 77, got a few nice fish

this is my fish, not in the picture are couple of mangroves and 2 lobsters. the big mutton was 25" and maybe 8-9lbs?? the white margate is huge.
