This one is very interesting. Is it pumped? like a Benjamin style air rifle?

Ahh, I see now. That's neat, thanks for the link Don, some cool stuff on that site.

Very cool pictures. Does the REBICOFF have an adjustable handle for more/less band stretch?

Awesome, I've been a huge fan of your photography for several years. Welcome

After speaking with Andrew, this is in fact what I was trying to say. Leaderfin carbons have a 50/50 ratio of carbon fiber to fiberglass, whereas the NS blades are 60/40, making it 10% difference as opposed to the 15% I originally mentioned. My understanding is this production option is not currently available, but will be again in the future. IMO, since there is a difference in the two blades, a change in price is justified.. whether the increase in performance that comes from that extra 10% is worth $25 is up to the customer.

Several months ago, I was at Nautilus and asked Andrew about the difference between the NS blades and the leaderfin blades. He told me that the NS series are made by leaderfins, but they have a higher ratio of carbon fiber to resin than the leaderfin carbons. Something like 15% if I remember right.

Small porgy? That thing was massive man, you're just jealous. He's scaled, scored and in the oven. And yes, that is a cleaning table in the back of my suv.

Sounds like an excellent day on the water, glad you guys got out and found the fish. How was the bottom out in 90'?
Mostly sand with a few sparse rocks. I have 75ft + chain on my anchor line and it was hovering about 8-10ft off the bottom.

Went out of Hollywood today with sdeisen, in at a bit after 8am and out at 2:45pm. Forecast said it'd be relatively nice, but it surpassed our expectations. The swell when we put in was actually larger than it was when we got out.. the wind died down as the day went on, and the seas dropped to almost flat. The plan was to go straight to the 3rd reef. We somehow managed to overshoot it by a long shot and jumped in about 85-90ft. We eventually found the reef.. 60' vis in 50-55 ft with a very small current going north. Total haul between the 2 of us was 4 hogs, 2 macks, 1 trigger, and 1 porgy. The second that I jumped in, I saw a king right under Steven's yak.. I loaded as fast as possible and dropped but he was already too far away, that puts me 0/3 on Hollywood kings:( Steven also caught a few Z's and a tan  Life is goooood.

Ahh, you're right. The article I read didn't have pictures and I didn't click your link at first. I remember watching a documentary of a team of windsurfers crossing the Atlantic.. they had chase boats of course, but they were seeing seas of 20+ft quite regularly. It's amazing.

I read about this the other day, super cool story. What boggles my mind is how it never sank, 3.5 yrs of rain and swell.. a lot of time.

Very cool man. I was fortunate enough to see one while diving before, such a cool experience.

How do you decide on the shape for the end of the blade? I noticed in one picture there is a concave curve, and in another, convex. What are the advantages of each?
I've always wondered the same thing, does the extra material on the convex tip provide a noticeable difference? I used to own a pair of DiveRs, which have the convex tip.. currently I'm using my backup leaderfins which are concave.. can't really make a legitimate comparison when they're 2 different brands. -
Some how I missed this, welcome buddy.

and an octopus.
I saw an octopus out of Broward yesterday also, a first for me on the FL east coast. My buddy actually caught it with his hands, it inked everywhere then swam away. I've seen several at night down in the keys, but this one was pretty big.. easily 3x the size of the ones I've seen before. -
Those look sick Dan. Any idea on when they'll be available? Estimated price?
-
Interesting fins Dan. Visually, they remind me of the sporasub fins with real shoes on them. Are those fg blades Pursuit?
-
That was super quick. Thanks Dan, I'll look into it.

I shot a pretty big spanish mac this morning, and I'd really love to freeze it until I can get to a smoker.. which is 3 months from now. I'm aware that mac doesn't keep so well, and I'm prepared to eat it for every meal for the next several days.. but has anybody tried freezing them with a really good vacuum seal?
