Not if they ask for ID.

It's the same as AAA. You're covered in the vehicle/vessel you're in.

Nice fish for area!!!

I recently started doing this too. I agree nothing extraordinary, but nice to have a little extra

Back in 2003, I was reading something on DeeperBlue about clearing and how when you swallow some spit... that clicking sound in your ears is actually the clearing function. Thought it was interesting and within a couple minutes, found I could isolate that movement. Never imagined it was that easy...
Next time I went diving, I clicked my ears internally a few times & have never needed to pinch my nose since.

+1
Once you get it figured out you're like.."That's it?" I've found that most explanations of it are waay too over complicated.

Do you have access to the back of bow eye?
-
Here's a few pop up cleat options. They're a bit pricey, but nice because when not in use they're flush on the deck.

Dan, now that you have a boat that line is now the Rode and the ratio of line to depth will be the Scope.
That anchor and it's rode is the thread that connects the lives of you and your mates to this world.
I am a very experienced skipper with a life time of gale winds, big seas and heavy duty Zodiacs anchored in all
types of bottoms and depth. At some point you want to consider shackling a small red poly ball to the end of your rode. If there is a emergency
you can throw the ball and pick up a buddy ASP.I'm going to scan some Navy stuff this week end for you. Could you post some bow and stern images of your
boat including the deck?Cheers, Don
+1 on the quick release. I've always wanted to do one, never got around to it. Remember how small my anchor is? The 15ft of chain really helps it grab with ease. I don't think having sections in the anchor rope is a good idea. You'll be constantly having change out the length. Keep it simple. As far as amount of line, it really depends on conditions. That's why 3-1 or 4-1 is a general rule of thumb.

Sweet tanks!!!!
My brother had a 125 and 300 gal up until last year. It was pretty cool finding stuff at the marina and bringing it home, coolest find was a baby octopus, about the size of your thumb.

Frank, I put a hole in my hood. Do you think it's too big? <img src= " height="23" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x">

You're such a rookie;)

Martin is such a rookie i cant believe he does that

:laughing1:
I took Martin's class 3 years ago.
If all you're going to do is go up and down a few times vs. being in the water for 6-8 hours then go ahead and poke holes in your hood.
If this is such a problem, why don't wetsuit hoods come with holes already in them?

-
Over the hood. When you put the mask on, run your finger all around the inside of the hood. This pulls it out from under the mask skirt. Poking holes in your hood is rookie shit. Let some water in by gently tugging on both sides.

After 4 weeks of waiting, and no answers of to why it's taking so long. I canceled my order. Pretty shitty.:angry5:

Some of what went down has me wondering. I been diving that area for a few years and always had cell phone service. The were said to be in thirty feet of water so they weren't out far. 26 minute to Matheson from that general area is pretty good time, not likely they stopped to use the phone once they were in closer to land. No mention was made of a VHF,with no cell phone service, how was fire rescue waiting at the dock?

I was browsing thru a local Keys news paper and came across an article about the grouper closure. Thinking it was the same old BS, I skimmed thru it. But this time I had to go back and reread it to make sure my speed reading skills were still on par. They were, but I had to verify the facts.
Straight off the FWC website. Funny how this wasn't mentioned anywhere else eh????
-
Just heard about it. Happened in my home waters. Hope everything turns out ok.

Dan, I have tubes of the stuff laying around the shop. I can box them up and ship them to you,on your dime;)
