Thanks for sharing.
Might be good in open water with big guns that you have to keep in front of you but it looks like it'll miss a lot for your average stuff.

Thanks for sharing. The video was helpful as well. some of the cracks he pulled fish out of I would of passed by thinking they were to tight to hold nice fish.

I can't help with the suit sizing or the boards but with the socks I wear 10 1/2 shoes and I get size large.
Gloves, I like the cheep atlas work glove when the waters above 50f. I don't see a reason to spend a lot on gloves if the waters warm.
If you already have the folder use it. If not one of the stiletto style kill knives will be more what you want. Like the speardiver predator or scrambler. I have a scrambler and it's a tuff little knife. Iv even used it to pry scallops off of rocks, though it's not built for that.
You didn't ask about fins. If you don't have good Freedive fins the money you'd spend on the gopro would be better used on a set.
Iv got to play with the speardiver phantom spear gun a little and iv been impressed with every thing about it including the price. you need not worry about making that choice. The size depends on you and what/where your hunting(I didn't see that listed)
I got my float line (poly rope) from the hardware store so don't think you need to go and drop $100 on that any time soon.
Good luck! -
Guessing this was directed more toward the east coast guys, but for me the only time I come home with nothing is when targeting king salmon. It's a short season and hitting the tide right plays a huge part in it.

Seems to do the job nicely. You need to post more videos of the fish you'll end up shooting with it.

Welcome.
Might try calling or emailing their customs office if no one here knows. Good luck -
Marco is right most inflatables like that have oneway valves so biting or pinching the valve stem will make it easier to inflate.

That really sucks George I think a lot of us would of loved to go spearfishing down there. Makes me thankful for the lenient laws in my area. Guess they figure if your nuts enough to get in the water you can shoot what you want.
Hope things change for you guys someday. -
Welcome neighbor! The right gear makes all the difference.

Welcome!
I had a similar experience with rupturing something in my upper sinuses. For me it was shortly after getting over a cold and I made a few dives, (shallow 10-15') with little problems, then when I hit 20' I heard a squeak then a pop. I bled for about a week and decided to stay out of the water for a few weeks after it stopped. I'm guessing that it was leftover congestion that caused it for me. I used a netipot while recovering and it seemed to help wash out the blood. I then used it before my next few dives to help make clearing easier on me. There's a few threads on here about netipots that might help you out so it doesn't happen again. Take it easy your next time out and stop before the pain. Good luck -

A sniper rifle of the right caliber can take out a target over a mile away. What's the max range on speargun? The average shots are between 4-6 meters. So let's stop comparing spearguns to firearms please.
That has to do with the density of water compared to air not how an object moves threw it. That same "sniper rifle" fired at sea leave will have more drop at a mile than if fired at say 10,000ft elevation because of the difference in air density. I get where your coming from and I to just want to see results be it velocity or penetration
