I made a couple of little mid handled guns a while ago.
First one:
Timber: Padauk and Australian Beech
Mech: Reef
Handle: Ulusub
Finish: Epoxy (Phil's)
Second one:
Timber: Mahogany (laminated)
Mech: Reef
Handle: Ulusub
Finish: Epoxy camo
These are nice little guns for hunting in caves, ledges, wash and kelp. The red and white gun has been balance for a 8mm straight shaft and the blue camo is a dedicated pranger gun.
For those who are not familiar with the name, a pranger:
Are you afraid of a little water? Worried you will rust?:laughing:

I was going to wrap a little mid handle with carbon tomorrow but a memorial comp is on so I am taking some juniors for a dive instead.
Hopefully next weekend i can wrap it and maybe a couple of week after I will have it finished.
I don't have high hopes as this is the first time I am trying vacuum bagging. :krezy:

I have been fortunate enough to have talk with Henrik AKA onkelhedde and he linked me a few threads of his beautiful gun builds. He certainly is a master craftsman.
I am looking forward to reading lots and occasionally sharing a gun build or two.
