I'm using those S.African shafts exclusively now on my guns.
Pool tested the heck out of them...caught some nice fish....they are super....no corrosion so far....I'm using the full sharkfin tabs, they can take 2 x 2.65mm spectra each.......Good choice Dan.

Excuse this potentially naive question from someone diving in Orca free seas.
How would those babies react to a diver....Egyptian sushi for dinner...or leave him alone he looks weird.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA :laughing3: :laughing3:

I've traveled many times in Egypt, just love your culture!

Ok, i'll consider it, thanks!!!! Hahaha, that was a good one man!

Thank you for your kind remarks.

Last time I was in Greece, I was staying in a town by the coast "Glifada".
Besides the good food and beautiful city...its people know how to have a good time and enjoy life at its fullest.
Never felt as a stranger their....In think anyone visiting Greece will share my opinion.

At first, I made a couple of wood guns and coated them with graphite/epoxy and waited to test the results.
It was outstanding how graphite stood up against the elements...extremely hard to scratch...unlike plain epoxy coated guns.... plus the slick touch/look of the gun.

BUT...it was a real pain in the butt to come out with decent coat...its not as easy as epoxy coating...too many things can go wrong...and very time consuming then.

Although I swore never to graphite coat anymore guns....But I couldn't resist the nice results...so from time to time I would use graphite till I found myself easily handling many of the coating problems and it became relatively easy to use graphite.

So I've changed my mind and will be soon offer graphite coated guns with a little extra cost but very much worth it.

    A couple of recent pictures.

Old thread but I would like to shed some facts.

Since diving is a major tourist attraction in Egypt...competition is very very high between diving boats and hence the problems commence.
For starters, some tourists/divers insist that they will not pay for the dive if they do not see sharks..yes true as weird as it may sound:@ so the diving boat would dump leftover food to attract sharks...beginning of trouble.

Another major issue is that Sharm El Sheikh lies near a commercial navigation channel before the Suez Canal...with lots of huge ships entering port with all sorts of merchandize.....including live stock.
It has been known some ships dump live stock overboard for several reason (sickness, ..etc) and another problem begins.
So between divers feeding sharks and free meals thrown overboard..what else do you expect...its a five star floating restaurant for the sharks...all associated with humans.

What cracks me up is conclusion of some local hardline ideological idiots with long beards that state..and I quote" Israel is the cause of the recent shark attacks in Sharm...they have trained those sharks to invade Egyptian coastlines to attack tourists and destroy it's economy.:laughing3:

So the next time you see a shark...think...you can train it to eat your boss at work if he's giving you any trouble...or maybe your annoying neighbor, nagging girlfriend,....just imagine the endless possibilities...but you do have to grow a beard so that the heavens listen to your call.

Since you asked.. Hate is a strong word and I don't think I hate anyone, but I dislike in the extreme Matt Davidson from Blue Tuna Spearfishing because he's a lying, thieving, turd, who never paid me for 7 guns, 14 shafts, 17 reels, 7 gun bags, 7 slip tips and thinks "it will just blow over". Also I dislike corrupt police and politicians who sell out the environment.

That's a bit too much for my taste...At one time, I was almost going to start dealing with them with my gear .
    Thanks for the feedback.

Sometime ago, I was trying to purchase an Andre gun from them but ended up buying the gun straight from Andre himself...he was very helpful but I think his gun is a bit light for 3 bands and I only used it once when I lost some big fish...I still dream of it sometimes :frustrated1::(

Its almost 2012 and I want to update the gear in my shop.

PLEASE do not take this as an advertising scam from my side....I know most people here have already visited my on-line shop and know pretty much what I sell.

My plan is to add missing products that will serve spearfishing...and they are a lot but I would appreciate your opinions on the most wanted/common items that should be offered in my shop.

    Thank you

Although this is an old thread and I'm not pointing fingers at anyone...most of the time, lack of response from vendor or order delays is due to out of stock problems and they don't relay this message clearly to the customer.
The opposite is true...if they have an overstock you'll hear from them without you asking for the product.
Lack of communication is a lame excuse without a doubt.

Welcome Josh. We met last night at your club's meeting, I think you'll find it more civil over here.
