Hillraisers video pushed me to post our latest footage. likewise, we had to scramble to find a crew (finding people to go on sunday and return on monday on a saturday is tough even for the bahamas). ultimately 3 of us went. everything was basically caught on sunday.
yeah, but flying over to spanish. quick 3 day trip.
3 weeks in a row is what legends are made of. =)
very nice. You going over for memorial weeknd?
Do you guys prefer to attach the mono to the wood block (sling) or have the mono attached to the float line?
If it is the former what method is used to attach it to the wood block? Generally what length of mono and # test do you use? I would think the mono should be at least 200# as to try to avoid tangles since it will be floating around you, or is there a way to have the mono secured?
Thanks.
I do not know of anyone. but out of curiosity what do you have in mind or what do you want to do?
This was my third attempt and first fish. It is a different animal than reef diving, much slower paced, but when the fish do come in it is extremely exciting. plus there is always the chance of a wahoo or black fin tuna coming up as well (or so i have been told)
Awesome fish...especially off the beach. the Pictures are very nice.
Floating along with the flashers and a box of chum. The dolphin would come right up and attack the flashers.
We could not find any define weedline out there.
First dolphin or any blue water fish i have shot. i am used to using a hawaiin sling and securing the spear and head first for hogfish and grouper. I kept putting upward pressure on the shaft so it would not come out. Definitetly should have grabbed his tail. live and learn.

edit: dan i tried to embed. please feel free to.
Nice.
What does it cost to rent a 4 seater plane, for 2 days with total 5 hour flight time? Would they let you fly it to the bahamas and keep it there during the trip? sorry, I do not have any experience with renting a plane and the agreements. Thanks
Jason.
Hey welcome.
Thats great that you are a pilot...do you own an Airplane?
Jason.
Hey. My Parents live in stuart and i currently reside in Orlando. We fish and dive out of SLI as well and spend a good amount of time in the bahamas.
We should get and stay in touch. Jason
Don your right. I have no gear for shooting dolphin, going to try to change that soon.
nice deal. i guess it makes sense as lunker alluded, to order an extra battery.
sweet. thanks for posting. looks like it will require a new case, and than a modification again to the lense.
I like how on the last drop there are 3 fish to choose from. great conditions.
Hey,
I use the old style wood block.
The trick is in how you hold it when you put tension on it. Rather than gripping it and using my wrist, I rest the block in the palm of my angled hand so the block is basically an extension of my arm and requires no wrist muscles.
I shoot rob allens with no problem.
Awesome! I guess that was a huge bull shark with the cobia...wicked.
Take me some time! =)
Was that a twin vee you guys were on? What size? We are thinking about getting a 26' and was curious to your thoughts. seems like a nice boat at a good price, but never rode on one.
Jason.
