I'll be getting the neptonics line now and maybe a carrot later if I ever get out to the west coast. This is great info that saved me from buying the same piece of equipment twice , I didn't realize Riffe lines had an issue with sinking as mentioned in a related post.

Thanks for the responses to my post regarding Speartek line, lots of good info. Someone mentioned Neptonics line, so I visited the Neptonics site, and found line with integrated bungee that can use a "kelp carrot". I like the idea of a 75' line that can stretch to 100' thats coated for entanglement reduction and managing the line in general. I may do some kelp diving in the future , anybody out west use this line?

Description is below from their website.

Not for the races but I've been to the track there. Great Lakes dragway a bunch of times. Hows fishing now? I miss sittin on 5 gallon buckets, jiggin, watchin tipups, and drinking Pabst.

Protect the airway is most important, remove mask, blow, tap, and talk. Do this all gently so they don't freak out or worse when they come to.

I did FII with Martin one month ago and he had the holes. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I forgot the holes until my 50' dive, reverse block all the way up! I went hoodless for the remainder of the course. I now have the holes and everythings fine. However, my suit I just bought has no hood, and every hood I try rubs my neck raw. I need something super soft but haven't found anything that works.

Anyone know if the Pelaj Iki Jimi spike is any good? Is the sheath as crummy as the base Omer Stiletto I own? The Rob Allen is way too much for something I will probably lose eventualy.

I hate hoods but might consider one if it were an extremely pliable material like Yamoto 45. Does anyone where to get one? My reasons are to keep warm and due to a story I heard bout a dude who had a man o' war wrap its tentacles around his throat as he was ascending and still carries nasty scars today. i've noticed a few in the water lately.

Hi all. I've been scuba spearfishing for about a year and started freedive spearing about 6 mos ago. I just finished level 1 freediver with FII to improve my ability and safety last month. Mostly I beach dive Pompano which is a short walk from my apartment. Anybody in Florida needing a buddy or wanting to go out let me know. I'd really like to get into some big fish, try different areas, and fishing techniques.
