Sounds good, do you have a kayak yourself? I am saving up for a kaya but I currently only have a boogie board float rig. Its got a good flag on it but weekend boaters are a scary bunch which is why I currently try to sneak out to the more active spots on nice weekday mornings. Where do you usually dive? I find myself at the commercial buoys alot, but have been recently looking for new/other spots and planning to try visiting the aerojacks .75mi off of 17th soon. Although current, tide, boats and brown water is a factor.

Yea, I have a yak as well as a boogie board and lifeguard float rig so with one of the three I can do whatever kind of diving. I can always bring the yak (bright yellow) as a marker/mothership. The boaters are a bunch of idiots for sure. I have never hit the commercial buoys; I typically go around Sunrise and A1A .

A question from a friend I didn't know how to answer. He wants to switch to Dyneema (sp) wishbones but has a JBL Woodie witch uses a notched shaft; can these types of wishbones be used with notched shafts w/o worry of it cutting through the WB due to the edges on the notch? Could possibly filing down the edge help? Thanks.

A car accident scrapped my plans, buddies boat is on a flatbed back to ft Lauderdale. Anyone know a decent charter in Marathon? I was looking at sea dog. Stuck with the room and trying to salvage the weekend. Any and all info appreciated. Thanks.

OK, so I am sure this has been touched on before so I will make it short. I want to get a WP camera that can reach a depth of 30' or so. I am not interested in making videos and hear the GoPro stills aren't very good so I am looking for an alternative. Thoughts opinions? Thanks :toast:

We trolled (H&L) for hours a few weeks ago near there and didn't see one weed line and not even a strike on the 7 lines we had out. Nice fish though man  I really want to try the Blue water spearing.

I am sure there will be a push and perhaps some of them can come home but it is not as if we have defeated the entire terrorist network or even crippled it. One the main motivators for the initial attacks was out occupation of holy land during the first gulf war so killing one of their icons while being on their soil again isn't going to make them back off. Given the ideology of this group and the nature of the warfare I am not sure it is a war we can ever really win; similar to Vietnam we may just cut our losses and call it a day. I would just be concerned, as it is probably the case, that they will not be so willing to walk away from the fight.
