G, the size he has now is perfect for a 120cm railgun, slapped one on the vecta, couldn't nt happier

I got my guby mitts on one this week...

Guys, these shafts like the other pursuit products I have tried are top notch. Not sure what Dans agenda is: maybe to turn us all into pursuit Zombie's, I think its working, each one of their products I try, im sold,

Won't buy suits from anyone else, won't buy fins from anyone else, won't buy a knife from anyone else, won't buy go pro anywhere else, won't buy anyone elses shafts....:gift: Pargo is taking over the world;)

Some notable points on the shaft:
-Fit my 120 Rob allen vetca better than a factory shaft.

-A great stiff grade of stainless that is dead nutz accurate, only took shots sheepshead and grovers thus far, but expect bloody pics soon

-The Tip is a new style of tricut, HOLLOW ground, but with some what of a rock point, Seriously NICE!!! sharp but will withstand alot of abuse

-The rearmost tab, give some serious extra band pull, specially if both band are loaded to last tab

    - The size of the fins is perfect, Just big enough to take both bands ALL the way back, without being bulky.

-The shaft actually get shinny with more use,

    -Quality tuned flopper

-The welds on the tabs are perfectly finished with no snags of sharp spots..

    -Best of all priced fairly:cool2:

Im actually picking up another 2 and another redtide knife this week

    Hope this helps

i use cressi superocchio dark and it fits super y have a seavision ultra too with color lenss but dont fit to well on me . so i have to say that for me cressi superocchio .

    + me 2!!!

Love the fit of this mask, haven't found another I like better.
I got a yellow one last time and am liking the bright frame alot

would love a pursuit one similar with a RED frame;)

I think a few diffrent sizes is good because it can simulate predation.. maybe two sizes one small (in 12 packs) 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch

    and one large (6 packs) 1 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 ,

the holo stuff is great, it can by almost any color depending on the angle, it has a tom of action when it moves

The one thing to note, I keep it away from foot pocket, In the unlikely event a cuda attempts to strike hell be nipping at the fin tips..

    hope it helps

I would totally be down for some stickers..

Mine were a pain in the butt to cut

I used two diffrent types of reflective safety tape

and two types of stickers made by WTP for decorating crank baits.

One red reflective and one that i found one time and have grown very found of, Its trasnparent holograpic scale pattern.

My thought is that the diffrent types of material will shine best under certain conditions , so i wanted to capitalize on that

I also did the backs in the same manner

Some cudas seemeds intrigued today, this is just a simple experiment, we could use alll the help we can get

On a side note, check out the exit wound on that grover;)

Spooked a real nice black as well

didnt want to harass any of the plentifull smallish fish I saw,
    anyhow hope it helps enjoy

Won't do you any good if you spook all the fish you see...

    Hi Denis, its J.C!

Its been ages since I talked to any of the guys from that area, but as a groups they are some of the friendliest , all around the Tampa/St.Pete Area, Rocks..Some insane good diver as well..

You would most def get a kick out of the weigh in at the St Pete open.

I will shout out to a few of the guys I know over there and let you know,

If you strike out, for some weird reason, and want to do some driving, I'll do my best to get you on some fishes (weather and viz Permitting)..

Denis is a good shooter, whoever takes him out will likely add some nice fillets to bag, for being a good samaritan:cool2:

    Good luck Denis,

I'll send you a PM when I get word

    :bienvenido:

    Feel ya man

After the great grogan spearboard purge a few years ago, I was inactive on the boards, well and insane work, but then I was drawn back to the discussions about the sport and wanted some new gear, since mine was is shambles, Then I hear about Pursuit and I heard there was a place for FreediveSpearfisher and that the reports are private:thumbsup2: that plus the caliber of guys on here, I was sold..

Hope to read some more WSB posts, On the bucket list for sure

    dive safe

    j

I've had something like this in mind for awhile, since we mostly dive a small boat, space tend to be at a premiun, It is also usefull for beach entries to keep guns out of sand, and when rinsing gear or moving stuff around the garage..

Once I use this one for a bit, and make some improvements, I will do another and post a step by step

    in the mean time,

Hope it helps some one out

This is more of a rough prototype.

    Parts,

a 10 gallon chlorine bucket (the extra tall kind)

    Medium Grommet kit

    Some thick rope

A few bungees, I used lay flat and the ones that are a loop with ball at end to secure guns into the tubes

    2x3 vinyl rain gutter downspout.

If anyone is interested i will add more detailed pics

    Zip ties..

    A drill, a knife, a hammer and a lighter

    Enjoy

Crap day, solid 5 to footers:(

on the upside recovered a really nice plow style anchor in great shape with about 15 foot of heavy chain, before reason kicked in and we were back by 10 am, no fish to be seen at the one spot we checked

Ben, whenever is good good with you, you got an open invitation, I'm just trying to take what i can, since september looks pretty much like a no go most of the month

    Anyhow

    keep yall posted

Have used 550 cord, in the same manner as Lunker used the copper with good results, I topped it of with white Duct tape applied under tension, Was in the island, all I had when a fish swam off with the whole front half of my new gatku into a DEEP cave, on the first shoot, :( it was rigth on target and super fast:thumbsup2: never recovered it, but got a full refund from the shop when I got back from the islands. Long story short..

This simple mod works, hunting with a pole is the best

I improved greatly two generic one piece fiberglass pole spears, saving the trip, as the long aspettoss were key for some nice mangoes that we had for dinner each nigth. big making then ribbed with what i had in a pinch. Of course with the gatku as inspiration

one you have a feel for it, you can set two cocked pionts, one all around comfortable point and and extreme load for when it really counts, with two turns of cord on the shaft.

I wrapped the the cord forming the ridge at a less agresive angle, feels the ridges travel through the hand easier upon release that way,

I left those two in the bahamas, but might build myself one soon and put some pics up

    hope this helps

    Dive safe:)

May Actually have a spot for tomorrow out of Miami and one later in the week out of Martin County...
    :diver2::fishswim::pirate:

    Reply here if interested,

    THanks

Ben its J.C, :), Same expenses as last time, 20 to 30ish a piece, all inclusive, or maybe the trade of a choice fish or two in exchange for the ride;)

    Depths 15 to 75ish, mostly 30-50 though

float plan may likely involve Martin county now

    Same deal as before

meet and drive up together to share the gas.

    +1 to what Carla said,

SAFETY always first, plus its that much better to share the experience, or even to be plain competetiv. Always be mindful of the sirens song to stay longer or go deeper, Nothing is worth you're life( no fish, gear or record.)

Many GREAT spearos havent made it back to the dock or out of the pool, please remember them and their families when you dive, or even practice.

Find a good spotter, preferably just as motivated as yourself and make him youre best friend, youre life will count on it.

    Then

    PRACTICE, PRACTICE, Practice

    READ, LEARN, BE SAFE, PRACTICE:diver1::snorkel1:

Take a course, and dive with diver better than yourself

Everithing from doing yoga to shooting a bb gun, to jogging and weigthlifting, will up youre game..

Once you are in the mind frame, being hungry, staying active, an putting in SAFE time on the water you will, soon youll feel like one of the fish, more at home in the water than out.

above all, BE SAFE!!!!!!!! and have fun:thumbsup2:

    Keep us posted

    Good luck

Will likely be looking to set up a mid week trip or two this next week.

Looking for one or 2 experineced divers for freedivng, and to help cover gas and ice

probably drive down from miami and dive out of islamorada,

    either tuesday, weds or friday.

reply to this thread or pm me if interested

I think C90, unless you are a pure freediver.

The C90 are the most recommended for all around hunting, as the C100 have some added length at the expense of agility when using odd finning angles, like say changing direction to PURSUE a fish.

I have the C90 medium stiffness in the HD pockets and think they are the cat's pajamas.

I love my Cressi Super Occhio.. only gripe is the insane mark up at the local shops on it..when the pursuit one is released we wont have that problem;)
    KISS

    Awsome ideas guys

I think the reflective tape can also play a role in safety, if it is on the back of the diver fins, it can help a buddy keep track of the submerged diver, especialy if they are deep or in reduced viz. Sometimes the sheen is all that can be seen from the surface but can be very helpfull

I am actually about to adorn my Pursuit fins as soon as I get my hand on some shinny stuff...

keep up the stimulating discussion guys :)
