    Select and prep test piece.
Fill bucket partially with water. ( for us in fl room temp seems fine)
Add a half tablespoonish of ajax. Swirl and allow to sit for a few mins.
    Dawn, mask.
Spray paint and clear coat into cups.
    Now speed is critical.

From close to waters surface begin adding paint or clear coat. Allow it to spread for a bit before adding another color, Then swirl it up and quickly dunk with a back and forth motion as you submerge.
So far have only attempted the test pieces pictured. Far from having it down, yet:).

Dudes are doing amazing stuff with guitars

Will try and do a vid of my Next attempt.

Thank for the insight! Exactly what this forum is all about.
From my experimenting thus far, seems like the parameters to keep an eye on are:
    Prepping and priming work piece
    Brand of paint
    Size and shape of tank
    Ph and temp of water
    Swirling tool and method
    Additives to water
    Dunking motion
    And final topcoat used

Next test. I will try and make better notes;)

Krylon fusion is my favorite so far. But my ratio of ajax has fluctuated so it could be a combination of factors. Far from scientific. Will start measuring ratios and post them up.

If yall experiment please do the same and pics. Even if you not happy as we could all avoid wasting resources on ideas proven not to work.

Some paints spread and float much better, testing is key.

So far I have just kept dunking the pieces over after they dry, instead of going back to white before testing again and I like the layered effect.

Sanding between coats will probably be in order for a finished piece

    Thanks Don! That means alot.
You have the title of guru in my book! You were SLAYING them and building stuff before i was even in a twinkle in my mamas eye.

So far lessons learned for me:

Nail art water marbling has a ton of good info on the subject as does guitar swirling.

The back and forth movement while dunking will enhance the effect of the paint on the water as it transfers onto your work piece.

I classify this as art for the unartistic as prep and proper steps can produce a good results with little drawing or panting skill. Its really fun!

Remember before attempting this or any other project. Think of your safety. If unsure do not attempt, Wear proper protection, and work in a ventilated area. This is a messy project, most of mine are;) Gloves are your friend

Im using a variety of rattle cans and ajax thus far. When I get some repeatable decent results and if there os interest I will post up whatever I find out.

So far, its a process that needs to happen fast before it skims over.

I really like adding clear to the mix, seem to show the bottom layer pf paint on the board and gives it depth;). Imho ymmv

it seems the best paints to do this are from Germany and cost $$ here, I going to try and get ahold of some before attempting to do a gun

Thanks to this Forum and its great members for always bringing new ideas to inspire us.

Decided to start a thread rather than Derail Onkes

Here are my first humble attempts at a home marble camo. I hope to do a couple guns with it, if I can get good enough results.

What say you? Looks like crap or not?

Ideas are still brewing on how to make it better with what i got but thought yall could help with stir some more inspiration

His game face is second to none. I would shit my pants and pass out if, by some strange twist of fate had to fight that machine. No flash, all brutality.

Oh yeah i forgot to mention the greatest of all time Hoyce Gracie!

Can still remember watching the first few UFCs it was like an epiphany.

Can't count how many BIG football player buddies Fell victim to the guillotine when rough housing.

The best part of grappling with someone who thinks brute strength, speed or striking will save them from going to sleep.

Then riding their back like a monkey, theres always and O shit moment when they realize you just did the opposite of what they expect, didnt back down, closed distance TOOK control of limbs and ATTACKED An added bonus is it doesn't leave bruises;)
To me a champ should show respect and Go on the attack. Not this funny business.
The evolution of MMA has been amazing, these guys are all animals. Would love to see a Silva v Jones matchup.

My favorite fighter thus far is Fedor. No show boating just freaking siberian terminator. I saw a fight where he was knocked out, on his way to the canvas by pure reflex grabbed an arm and submitted the opponent before regaining consciousness. Imho opponents deserve respect, at least to me that is what Martial arts is all about. Clowing migth seem cool. Till you get whopped an them the loss is compounded. I am a huge fan of the Spider but he was his own worst enemy. The front kick he got vitor with could hae been much better than putting his chin out.

Onke, that gun is a piece of art! Got me inspired to give it a whirl on some test pieces.
I would be very interested in the method used? Borax, magic marble, did you epoxy over it? Thanks

Here are the results of my first test with ajax and ratle cans. Lol The sample is still wet but dried quite smooth. Its actually a double dip. Tried with just water first and wasnt happy then added ajax, some clearcoat and some fusion blue and got this. What ya think? I like it, It has potential.

Man that day was epic! Just how i like it.

My next time at that spot we had the biggest fish of my life (80lbs cobia) Get eaten whole inches from the gaff, by a massive Hammerhead.

At the zombie grounds the mangroves will eat your face off! anytime.

The problem is when the bard is deep and no where near exiting. But yes a bolt cutter was my first thought. Till I realized that method wasnt really gona work in my case. Believe me I tried yanking it out and pushing the point out.

Good to be prepared for both i Guess. Must have been nerve racking to have the kid, in that situation. Makes for a good story.

Was actually covertly getting a photo of your behind, so i could submitt you to the casting call for Male freedive homos calendar sponsored by pursuit, ;).

You know me, all to well. ;).
Think you were unwrapping your float line. Sent that pic to the Wifey as proof we weren't at tootsies since we didnt have any fish to show. Lol. Figured the speardiver suit qualified it as good use of server space. Mohalo
