For Stainless I would use a TIG welder. You can probably find one on craigslist, but a decent one isn't cheap. If you haven't TIG'd before it may take some practice to make a good bead. For occasional use it might be better to find someone that works for beer :)

Lets say any and all. I always see little sections of people's guns in pics but never just a speargun or polespear picture.

I just bought my first float from a local guy but now I'm not sure what float line to use. Wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction or have suggestions.

They used to be but tiger muskie are a sterile hybrid of a pike and a muskie and utah lost their supplier for a few years and just now started their own breeding program to restock fish. So hopefully in a year or so they will be back on the market so to speak.

I do fly fish a little but prefer spinner fishing. I'm a huge tiger muskie fisherman. Most of the fly fishing stuff is too snooty for me. Not so much about fishing than as who's got the most orvis shit or sage stuff ect. ect. ect.

1st question to ya'all, I just bought a jbl woody elite for my first gun. Now do I need to oil or treat the wood in any way before I take it in the water or after use? I am also using it in fresh water.

My name is Chuck Carpenter and I just recently have been bitten by the spearfishing bug. The only problem is I live in Utah so I don't have a great variety of places or fish to choose from (or people to learn from).
I am an avid hunter and fisherman, mainly a goose hunter. But I figure when I can't shoot geese I might as well go and shoot some fish. So far I have only shot a handful of dirty dirty carp. My first speargun is on it's way right now and I hope to shoot a few tasty walleye and wipers this weekend.
I will most likely be asking a million and one questions and have already learned a lot from reading all of your posts.
    Thanks in advance,:thumbsup2:
