    1st question to ya'all, I just bought a jbl woody elite for my first gun. Now do I need to oil or treat the wood in any way before I take it in the water or after use? I am also using it in fresh water.

    Depends on the existing finish. I can't remember if the JBLs have a coating over the wood, probably they do, you should be able to tell. If so all the gun needs is a good rinse after use. No oil for the trigger mechanism or anything like that. If you're not going to use the gun often, take the bands off and put them in the fridge, they will not deteriorate like that.
