“lucid dreaming” I also find myself being able to control all my dreams well at least the ones I remember. Its awesome, I find myself apply scenarios that I go threw in rem to life.
Sometimes when I start to control a dream I wake up, (I’m sure the wake up process starts first which is why you’re able to even remember it}. But that’s not my point; I find myself being able to go back to sleep right after and reenter that same dream.
Anyone else have this same experience?Larry O M . . .

when i look at the RA it seems thats how they do it. the way it shows on the link below the picture. but they first cut a section of the foamcore out then do the eye splice. . .
-
Larry, that's not how the RA is made. The outer sheath which is basically where all the strength is can't be taken apart like in the pic you posted.
do you have a close up?
-
The floatline is probably a hollow braid to contain the foam inside, instead of the twisted design in the pics above, so the spliced loop would have to be different, I think.
check out the link under the picture I think this is how RA are made minus these pictures don't show the foam innercore.
-
How are those RA ends tied/braided?
Maybe this helps. But I would have to look at a RA to check how there made. . .
This is what I used for my homedepot floatline. http://www.lehighgroup.com/ropespliceeye.htm

Do you have any pics of the house and the sea from afar? Some of us here dream of that sort of thing even if it's a 1 bedroom bungalow

hau's a good guy. Went out on a shore dive not to long ago. He's been spearing for a very long time lots of info to share.
I wanted to add this as an alternative to a more costly item. It was given to me by a SEAL friend, told me he has taken it down very deep, and it still works well. . .
Maybe these could be picked up at a local surplus for a few dollars. It also has the valve you wrote about Dan. It’s a great design no sowing all glue.

when's the next shore dive?

Thanks all.
Monster- Dan used a very streamlined board to throw fish on.
I used an aimrite offshore float with a stringer.Ray- it seems we were out far but the sea was beautiful and the swim was not bad. . .
The swim back to shore was very easy.
FWC came up to us asking if we were ok seeing as we were somewhat far out from shore, they looked at the fish asked "how’s it going" and such and said good bye.
Then Dan says “Hey, you guys want to give us a ride?” They said “ok!”... We jump on the boat throw our guns and fish on there deck and we get a ride back to shore…
Good way to end a great day spearing. . .Larry O M . . .

I like the saber myself. I think a Katana requires a bit more advanced fencing skills. A good saber in a rookie´s hand´s still a fierce offensive or defensive weapon from my point of view.
I’m on the other end of the spectrum on this. I think the Katana would be the better choose. Maybe it’s just that I have more experience with them, but I think the ability to hold them with both hands and very quickly switch grips is a very nice feature.
If that Germanic Grosse Messer just had a little curve to it . . .On the shovel thing. A shovel with thick steel sharpen should do fine. But as I have found with many shovels they bend very easy.
great vids BTW. . .
