Felt like a long time til you got to the flasher, was it deep or current?
Not that deep, about 50ft

Just came back from a trip from Baja. Met some really cool people and divers. Ate some delicious food and drank a lot of beers! Will post more pics and videos later.

Marco with a pneumatic!

The flopper is much faster and more powerful for sure. You can even see it on my video. The penetration was much better with flopper.
-
Mori and aimrite sliptips are very accurate from my tests.
-
No. Victor does not like rollerguns. The benefit is not there.
-
Floppers have to be flat and recessed so they fly straight at distance. If they aren't they start to vector upwards greatly.
Remember a 25ft shot from TIP of spear is stupid far. I would not be making any shot like that unless I feel I possibly couldn't get close. My buddy Justin was grouping the shots very accurately at that distance and the penetration was impressive. A good hunter will not pull the trigger at those distances.
Look at 2:30 in the video where i shoot from 22ft. Tell me if it looks like a lot of recoil?
Also, we tested a trygons shaft double flopper and I believe those are some of the most accurate shafts.

Had trouble opening the link but just got it, so the Mori was less accurate that the other slip tip? The flopper did as i expected and went further harder. Am I seeing a lot of kick from that gun, the shooter seems to need to brace into the back of the pool, and there is noticeable kick, not bad kick mind you just way more than the other videos I have seen.
The recoil is very little but slow motion exaggerates everything since you are seeing frame by frame. The Mori was just as accurate as Aimrite.
The shooter is sitting in the corner so we can reach 25ft shot. We didn't use the back of pool to brace the shot. Also laying out straight makes a more stable shot instead of sitting on your butt.

Slide Ring kills penetration. The slide ring needs to be reduced or removed.
Slip tips can be more accurate than flopper shafts.
Shafts with floppers even need to be tested. They can even make a perfect shooting gun shoot like shit.
Talk is cheap. I do not believe any claims people make anymore until I see video. There is so much misinformation and lies out there.

Went over to my friends house and tested out this new Abellan 140. I confirmed some things that I knew, and also learned a few other things.

Nice video as usual.
Today I was pool testing a friend's 120 Abellan and didn't like the handle. Too thick for my ladies hands. :rolleyes1::laughing:
Other than that it is a beautiful gun.
:laughing3:

Yeah man! What the hell was up with you not shooting that monster snapper? It made tears come to my eyes
It was a red snapper. I was like this mutton snapper is moving kinda funny....
Red snapper is out of season.

I always say the same shit. Knowing your limits is what will save you at the end of the day. You should come up without being gassed. If you have to concentrate on your breathing when you surface, you stayed down way too long.
If I had children, I wouldn't let them dive without my supervision. Kids think they are indestructible and it won't happen to them. They don't understand the dangers of the ocean. They do not fear the ocean. Fear is good and what keeps you alive.
Depth is all relative to what you are capable of doing.

I bet that fish will be in your head for quite a while even in your sleep :laughing3: You should have gotten a Denton
That is the beauty of diving. There is always another day for another chance!
