Great point. I'm looking at some of the torpedo floats out there, and it looks like the Riffe is one of the only ones with a metal attachment point. I guess you pay for quality.

I do plan on using something else for local diving, but this float is for travel, so unfortunately it has to be inflatable.

Thanks for the info. I'm just starting out, so please excuse my inexperience, but why mono vs a poly loop (equal to the strength of the float line)?

I'm looking at the Atoll float, and it seems to have all kinds of d-rings and clips, but they're all plastic. Where would you clip the float line to on this float?

I realize this is an old thread, but it was the only one I found when I did a search for this gun. Has anybody tried this gun yet?

Relatively new freediver/spearo from New York here. I've done most of my limited spearing in the Caribbean and for now am sticking with a pole spear until I'm confident that i won't kill anybody with a gun. I've done the PFI intermediate class and am looking forward to reading and learning as much as I can from this site.
