Yesterday I have to cut my dive trip short due to a extreme pain rite at the root of my upper back tooth. I made a few dives with no pain but after that I started to get this pain. It felt like someone had my tooth in pliers and the deeper I went the harder they were pulling. The pain was starting a around 5ft and by 20ft it would almost bring tears to my eyes :weeping: . Has this happen to anyone? Does anyone know what causes this.

I've read about this before, just letting you know other people have had it.
It can be due to air trapped behind fillings or a in a cracked tooth. It could also be maxilary sinus squeeze (which can be caused by sinus infections). You can feel this pain in your teeth, it's called referred pain.
You should go see a dentist if it happens again.

How do you fix sinus squeeze.

Avoid diving when you have a cold/snot. I'm sure some people can have this condition without being sick. You can try inhaling sea water through your nose to flush out the sinuses. Marco posted a good vid on how to do it in this thread http://spearfishing.world/diving/1360-sinus-pressure.html
