Tooth Pain

  • Yesterday I have to cut my dive trip short due to a extreme pain rite at the root of my upper back tooth. I made a few dives with no pain but after that I started to get this pain. It felt like someone had my tooth in pliers and the deeper I went the harder they were pulling. The pain was starting a around 5ft and by 20ft it would almost bring tears to my eyes ;( . Has this happen to anyone? Does anyone know what causes this.

  • I've read about this before, just letting you know other people have had it.

It can be due to air trapped behind fillings or a in a cracked tooth. It could also be maxilary sinus squeeze (which can be caused by sinus infections). You can feel this pain in your teeth, it's called referred pain.

You should go see a dentist if it happens again.

    Go to the dentist now
You are young. Take care of your teeth or you'll end up with dentures like me. (At least if my teeth hurt I can just take them out an put em in my pocket <img src= " class="smiley" srcset="https://spearfishing.world/forum/images/smilies/emojione/1f606@2x.png 2x" height="23" width="23" loading="eager" data-tooltip="biggrin" aria-label="biggrin">)
